This retarded generation of college kids might have put an end to it

3 premature rushes in 2 weeks is absurd

How are you going to stop it?

Put up fences and people will likely die. Almost happened at Camp Randall once with numerous people seriously injured. They changed the fences after that.

They do it in MLB and South American stadiums. It seems to have worked out fine

Outright banning the students who rushed the field or charge them fines

Easiest way to stop it is if you rush the field/court, no student section for the rest of the academic calendar. Obviously that will never happen, but that’s how you stop it

I was at that game. That was weird. It sucked but there were some in the crowd that were trying to rush the field who if they died I wouldn’t have cared.

I’ve never seen fans rush the field (track) in nascar. Just saying.

If I was the Alabama coach, I would instantaneously take my team off the field to the locker room. This is bullshite.

Fences have been a huge no no in stadiums since the crowd crush in England where over 90 people died

I think the main issue with Hillsborough was that it was a pen that they stuffed over capacity and locked the door behind them.

Plenty of European stadiums have fences/nets now.

LSU hasn't been the same since they started rushing the field for wins against Ole Miss. It used to mean something.

Nope, it’s fun. There’s Enough people are trying to take tradition and joy out of college football and make it a soulless corporate entity. Don’t contribute to that

social media creates more people who want to be a “part” of something … but also this is the Covid generation that has their best high school years ripped away so they are going a lot more crazy in college
