I haven't met anyone that dislikes Hurts. From all accounts he's a grinder who busted his arse and earned his role. People don't hate Lamar, they just think he's a dumbass who's at times propped up to be more than he is.

I knew Bomani Jones would be involved prior to clicking this thread.

Before we get to the Eagles and how scary that is, something just hit me – there’s gonna be some rule changes in the NFL," Foxworth said. "They ‘gon do something. And you may be looking at me like I’m crazy, but wait ‘til I explain something to you, then you’re gonna be like, ‘yup, they about to fix this.’

"Who’s the best quarterback in football? Patrick Mahomes? Who’s the two highest-paid players in all the league? Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. Who are the first three quarterbacks drafted in this draft? Black dudes. … Oh, we got a rule change coming down the pike."

I generally like the commentary Foxworth provides on a multitude of topics. This one is stupid as hell

This is the type of bullshite that actually hurts the cause these race baiters claim they support.

Not really, bc their “cause” doesn’t exist anyway. It’s all fantasy which renders it impervious to things like reason and evidence.

Betcha white guys are more likely to buy a Lamar Jackson jersey than black guys were to buy a Peyton Manning jersey

So he's bitching about a lack of persecution of black players?

Sounds exhausting for everyone around him.

I swear this incoherent conversation by ESPN "personalities" is a point of view "appropriated" from a racist journalist covering the 1970s NBA.

Saw and article breaking this down. All it is is a paranoid conspiracy theory. This guy Foxworth claiming there will be rule changes because black QBs are the 2 highest paid players and 3 black QBs taken in the top 4. These examples should be celebrated instead they claim it will lead to racism

I could have sworn I heard this show was cancelled. Bomani has made a career at crying racism in sports. He's just a more feminine version of Jamele Hill.

Im calling a huge crapola on most of this. Besides, the NFL is going all college football on offense. These QBs are a perfect match to the RPO spread game and have plenty of giddyup for pace. Josh Allen is a perfect fit the same as Jalen Hurts.

Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts contracts are going to come back and bite them in the arse. Mahomes/Burrow are the best two QBs in the league, followed by Josh Allen.

Not unreasonable to think. The NBA was way too black. The rule changes allowed for European whites to actually compete in the NBA.

Europeans were always seen as soft and finesse. The NBA removed the physicality and now European players are amongst the best in the entire league.

The NFL should do what's best for its bottom line.
First off, European basketball is more physical than the NBA. Secondly, that’s not why they changed the rules. They changed the rules because in the late 90’s/early 00’s, scores were as low as they’ve ever been, and the game had devolved into nothing but slow isolation basketball. It was an ugly game. The rule changes meant to correct that by incentivizing teams to play a more fast-paced style, more reliant on passing to break down defenses rather than 1 on 1 isolation play.

People don't care what the players on their team look like, they only care if those players help their team win.

The only racism I see is from these ESPN personalities.

Lamar, yes. Hurts, I don't think so (as much as i don't like the eagles.)

Hurts and Mahomes both have good heads on their shoulders (despite PM's brother and wife's antics.) They'll be fine.

Jackson on the other hand...
