A lot of clutch drives from #9 in big games that will go completely forgotten. It's a shame.

21 of them to be exact

Only 21 for Brady, Rodgers, and Manning COMBINED

That is insane.

Yep, seen that stat before. Its crazy to think about how much people put into legacies based on a small sample size of stats in which qbs only control a portion of

Except Brady, Brees, and Manning are top 3 in game winning drives.....

Brees has retaken the lead 21 times in his Saints career, or 7.3% of his games on a go-ahead scoring drive, only to watch helplessly from the sidelines as his defenses cave under pressure and allow their opponents to surge back with their own salvo
Then Brees should have played better so that the go-ahead drive became a two-possession drive.

Enough excuses justifying the under-performance and recognize how lucky he is to have one.

Tom Brady put his team ahead in the last 2 minutes of both the 2007 and 2011 SBs, only to lose them both because of the defense. One was for a perfect season.

2007:

2007 wasn’t in the last 2 minutes and they scored 14 points in the game. Brady went 2+ quarters without scoring while fumbling and having a turnover on downs. They got the ball back with 40 seconds left with 3 timeouts needing just 3 and turned it over on downs with 10 still on the clock . That L is on the offense

14 points

They scored 17 in the other loss you brought up. 14 and 17 points and they were still in the game.

2011:

Also didn’t take the lead in the final 2 minutes. Once again went 2 full quarters without scoring. The last points they put up were at the 11 minute mark of the 3rd. Brady also had a safety in that game

Got the ball back with a minute to go in that one too

That’s the entire point. Their D did a good job in both those games. The offense left their D out to dry and you think it’s some gotcha

Both those games define the "GOATs" career. He's had that defense to bail him out in every single super bowl season. And if his defense couldn't get it done, the officials would step in and give him high fives, pats on the arse, hugs and kisses, and the laundry would fly for on other team. The GOAT is a sham.

The only ones that believe he's the GOAT are Pats fans and those that think Championships define the greatest. They've never watched these games without the rose colored glasses on. The refs are purely responsible for many of his wins. Especially in the playoffs where penalties matter more. There are plenty of stats to prove all of this if one decides to look.

Funny, cause that's exactly what you just did.

You quoted me telling you no one asked you to feel bad then quoted something else from me where I didn't ask you to feel bad for him

Another thing to take into account, for the stats, is that Brady is constantly playing in New England winter weather whereas Brees gets to play in a Dome for every home game he gets in the playoffs.

I’m specifically talking about the losses

Brady 1.2 INTs per game in losses

Brees 1.3 INTs per game in losses

Seems pretty negligible for the sake of this comparison. You could say over a 10 game span, it's basically 1 extra INT for Brees. While that certainly can be the difference between 1 extra win for Brad and 1 loss for Brees, it's not going to do much in explaining a 32-11 playoff record vs a 9-9 playoff record.

You're so freaking salty I can smell you from Washington! Tom Brady is #2 all-time in career passing yards and #1 all-time in career passing touchdowns. Assuming Brees retires like they say he is, Brady should surpass Brees all-time in passing yards sometime before the halfway mark of next season. That means he will have more passing yards, more passing touchdowns, more NFL MVPs, more 1st Team All-Pros, and more Pro Bowl appearances. That's not even mentioning the six Super Bowl championships in nine appearances. Brees will be inferior to Brady in every meaningful metric used to measure the success or failure of a QB.

And if you think those two games define Brady's career more than 28-3 in Super Bowl LI then you are deluding yourself. That was the night his legacy was cemented.

You really need to talk to more non-Saints fans if this is how you really think.

Brady is a great qb and I have no problem calling him the GOAT.

But there is absolutely zero chance he has 6 rings if he played in anywhere else besides New England with Bill Belicheck. This is a fact.

He'd probably have a max of 3 if he was in literally any other franchise. Obviously having 3 rings is nothing to scoff at either.

And how overrated Sean Payton is as a head coach. Everybody bags on Les Miles for bad end-of-the-game management. Payton doesn’t get nearly enough criticism for how bad he is at it, too.

That's what you get when you have a head coach who couldn't care less about defense until his franchise QB's arm is all but dead.

The saints draft picks and FA signings would indicate otherwise as far as giving a shite about defense. They just sucked at talent evaluation on that side of the ball

Since Jeff Ireland came aboard in 2017, the defensive talent has improved drastically
