Do you get as excited about the Masters as you did 20 or so years ago?

The buildup to Masters week when Tiger and Phil were at their peak was so much fun to watch in early to mid 2000’s.
Do you get as excited for some of the stars of today’s game like Scheffler, Rahm and McIlroy?

Paul, I wonder if you’ve ever been able to move past the year 2007

A lot more now at my current age. I didn't play golf until I was in my late 20's, so I didn't really care about tournaments on tv. Now that I play, I do.

I don't have near the passion for any sport that I had 20 years ago. I will watch though.

I watch it and enjoy it
But the people who view Augusta as Heaven and wax on on and philosophically of how beautiful and special it is .. I roll my eyes
It’s a golf tournament in the end. It’s made to look pristine . Why anyone’s shocked at this I’ll never know

I always watch religiously. I have an even out of town during the middle of the final round. I'm so bummed out.

No, but that's probably because I'm an adult with a job now.

They do so because they want the world to look like that.
Democrats see slavery and plantations and Jim Crow and women being second class citizens when they see the Masters (which informs their view of golf in general, that the people they hate play it)
No one would ever call Augusta woke but it’s had to progress a little bit

I love it. Beautiful course, exceptional conditions, torturous greens, etc.
It doesn't have the same feeling as when Tiger was in his prime, but it is still great!

Still remember the 2006 Masters tournament. The NOW (National Organization of Women) were protesting the tournament, as Augusta didn't allow women to be members. Hootie Johnson who was chairman at the time basically told them got pound sand. Hootie said we don't want to upset any of our sponsors so this year Augusta is paying for the whole thing without advertising.
