I remember when the first Frisbees came out. We enjoyed throwing them but never thought of golf. We'd throw them up in the air at night and the bats would dive at them, If only I could go back.
Flat flip flies straight.

I'm guessing Scotlandville is a hard no?
Scotlandville is the most challenging course in the area for me.
It has a few low lying holes that are miserable when wet. The trash from drainage is disgusting at times.
It’s a shame

After the flood in 2016 I got a really bad taste in my mouth for that course. I played it a couple of days after it was opened back up and it was horrible. Just thinking about it I can smell it now. I don't think it has ever gotten back to pre-flood quality.
Someone mentioned Flanacher being closed, it never closes it just gets super wet. It is an odd place drainage wise you would swear some the higher ground should be dry but it almost seems like water runs uphill there.
Honestly, if you are going to play DG is SELA you are going to have to get used to the wet. The only DG shoes I keep in our Louisiana house are waterproof. I recommend Addidas Terrex.

Think I’m gonna buy me a Teebird.
If I can find one for ~$10 I’m pulling the trigger.
If you are serious about getting out and trying DG I will send you a putter and midrange. I don't have a Teebird that isn't bagged or cycled.
If you are interested put up a burner email and I will reach out.

Yeah I have about two puters, a driver and a mid that I never use. Pay for the shipping and they are yours. But I might need to give them to another baw in Prosper lol

This is one bag of my non-bagged discs, I have 5 more just as full. This bag has 71 in it.

Got any Wraths in there?
I lost my wrath on a hole in Monroe (I live in Dallas) On my way home some dude found it and shot me a text. Pretty much told me he wasn't going to return it because he liked it so much and that he would give me $10 for it.
Said frick it I'll take the money I guess .

So if your frisbee is up against a tree, cliff, fence, etc and your foot has to be directly behind your disc would that not impact your "lie"
If your disc is leaning up against a tree with a steep drop off underneath it you literally have to find footing to throw and you might be off balance doing it. would be the same thing as being in a bunker or rough. It impacts how you hit the ball or throw a disc.
cool, now also imagine all of that with a clump of grass or mulch behind your ball, ball sitting in a bush, etc

Poor lies are something that when you play both sports you figure out though they are different they are just as common in both.
Most DG courses are not as open as golf courses and tress in the middle of the fairway is common. Plus lots of fairways are extremely narrow so being off in the rocks and roots is common as well. DG doesn't have to deal with muddy "balls" because we can clean a disc between shots and use another disc of the shot calls for it but other issues make up for that in the crappy lie department. This is simply the type of thing you can't understand without playing both games.
To PV: No Wraiths, at first I read it as Wrath (Axiom) which I have a couple of.

Just saw your post.
I really appreciate it. I don’t mind getting some discs at play it again and giving it a go. I don’t want to make you go out of your way.
Watched some videos of the world championships or whatever and my goodness, these fools are amazing. There were holes that I wouldn’t have a chance in hell of making anything less than 8 on.
How are injuries not more prevalent? It looks like elbow issues would be rampant.

A lot of the major movement is from your lower body and hips, especially for forehand throwers

It is up to you. It wasn't like I was going to break my neck to ship them out in the morning but I will ship them on Tuesday. I have probably 800 discs 300 or so of them I guarantee I will never throw again. I keep them to give away to kids and adults starting out and I keep a couple in my bags and cart so when I am at a multi-use park and get a kid watching that is obviously curious I give them a putter (asking their parents first certainly). It is just a part of giving back to the sport I have gotten so much joy from.*

Backhands which is the primary throw for most is not that bad about causing injuries. I can throw power backhands all afternoon doing fieldwork (driving range) and while my arm is tired I never get pain. Forehands can be a different story for a lot of people including me, I avoid full power forehands if at all possible. You can easily get something similar to tennis elbow though it is a different tendon but feels the same. One of the longest players in the game is coming back from injury due to his massive forehand power. Overhead shots like tomahawks and thumbers bother some people too.
* I question whether trying to grow the sport isn't shooting myself in the foot now. COVID brought a ton of people into the sport just like it did golf. Courses are more crowded and even at the largest online sellers 50% or more of discs are out of stock and even the models that aren't often are crappy weights or shitty colors (you don't want dead leaf brown drivers 'cause you might as well throw them in the trash because you will lose them the first time they go in the woods).
Again feel free to hit me up, it isn't a problem at all. The only thing I ask is if you continue playing and replace them with other discs just pass them along to someone starting out.

Axiom makes a really good disc.

Tomahawks are the only throws that ever bother my elbow. I just have chronic knee issues instead.

Im a power forehand player, i can throw about 450 maxed out sidearm and thankfully i havent had any arm issues even now in my 40s. Ive been playing on and off for about 20 years and came from a baseball background. My backhand sucks compared to my forehand.

Rough vs against a tree with a steep drop.
I wonder which is more common

Played HRP yesterday Twas NOT a good round
Did come across 7 kids in swim gear fishing a pile of discs out of the water. I went through their trove finding none of my friends discs. Kids must have found 15ish discs by 4
