You baws need to get onboard. It's not gay like soccer and it takes just as much skill as Ball Golf.

More fun that ball golf, less expensive, better exercise, more weed.

To anyone who thinks it's a stoner sport I dare you to go play and try to shoot even or better. If you're at a decent course it will take you years to consistently shoot under par.

As someone who has played both it is nowhere near as much skill to play compared to golf. With that being said it is a lot easier and a lot more accessible considering it’s mostly free to play

Go play a championship level course in DG and then play a championship level course in golf. I bet your scores will be similar.

Ultimate Frisbee is the future. It's like disc golf, but ultimate.

End of high school and early college I got really good playing Highland road park. I suck nowadays even at City Park in NOLA, but still a ton of fun playing

LOL

This shite was on YOutube(Live), and i'm like, what the frick, let's check it out.

I watched some non athletic hipsters, walking to next hole, with their golfing shirt, pants, hat, and glove. All thee while carrying instead of a golf bag, they have a large back pack they hurl from hole to hole, all the while having a towel hanging from it, so they can wipe the discs off.

My reaction:

Even if that is true, none of that means anything. You could say the same about bowling

I’ve never played disc golf but I’m sure I would be more competitive vs you than you would be playing ball golf against me.

I've played golf for 40 years and DG for 20.

Going out and having a good time is quicker and easier with DG than golf BUT being really good (or elite) at each requires just as much effort and practice.

I actually like disc golf more than golf. Course management is actually much more complex. The movement you can get with a disc is so much greater than even a pro can get with a ball. The lines you can throw as you get good are really amazing. Need a shot that flies down a narrow tunnel of trees then take a 90 degree turn to the left for the last 100 feet? You can throw that with a disc, need it to take a 90 degree right turn at the end insted? Just throw a forehand instead of a backhand.

I am not saying everyone that likes golf will like DG but the games share enough similarity to appeal to generally the same type of people outside of the elitism found in some segments of the golfing community. It can be far cheaper than golf but you can also spend as much as you care to just like any hobby.

It’s a lot more enjoyable than regular golf to me. But I also loathe ball golf so that isn’t saying much

False. And foot golf is far more fun.

How about this? I will play you in golf on any course you pick and you play me on any DG course I pick for $100 a stroke.

I don't like how people in this thread are referring to golf as ball golf.
