I see all teams shifting in that direction. Astros highest inning guy from Opening Day wasn't even on the playoff roster.
Verlander was only pitcher on playoff roster w 150+ innings. Also, Rockies can get offensive production from cheaper sources/lesser players just having half their games in CO.
Investing in low, poor contact/groundball pitchers should be their priority.

Every time I see this thread pop back up I get hopeful that we've made some kind of move and there's something Astros related to talk about.
Happy new year Strobaws. Here's hoping 2018 is as good to us as 2017 was

Correa walk off against the yankee
Springer dinger in game 7
Marwin homer in 2
Bregman bomb to tie against the Sox
Verlander murdering Todd Frazier

Impossible to rank.
The bregman HR off sale changed the trajectory of The entire Playoffs. It was beyond huge. I. Went Ape shite when that ball left the yard.
The marwin HR was the most Important hit Of the entire world Series. I sat in disbelief when that ball Went out.
The most excited moments for me came in game 5 Yuli and altuve Hrs and Bregman walkoff were all So lit I can't even wrap my mind around them and I was at the game.
That's not even to mention the clutch pitching performances

You guys don’t think the Gurriel bomb off Kershaw completely changed the dynamic of Game 5, maybe even the series?
Down 4-0 against Kershaw. Couldn’t hit him the first game. You’re in danger of falling behind 3-2 heading back to LA. Heading into the bottom of the 4th, you can tell LA has every bit of momentum possible. Lose this game and you’re heading to LA having to sweep 2 games.
You’ve gotten one run across already and momentum is teetering. Not only was it a bomb, it was a first pitch bomb. If I could pick one moment when i was at MMP this year, I really believe that’s the moment I’d like to have been there.
I understand that there many more runs to be scored the rest of the way, but Gurriels bomb was the catalyst and the most important HR of the game against arguably the best pitcher of this generation.

No question.
The Astros had so many pivotal game and series Changing clutch hits its like they saved 50 years worth and dumped them all into one playoff run.
That Yuli bomb had the Dodgers shitting in their baby blue undies.

It's weird that the offseason is halfway over

I am not use to wAtching that much baseball in November

The MLB offseason has been pretty quiet so far, outside of mostly relief pitchers and the Stanton and Ozuna trades.

All of the big free agents outside of Wade Davis are still out there. I still think we will swing a trade for a LHR

I think it's possible they may like Liriano and try to work something out there.
And now that Luhnow seems to have broken the GM ice so to speak, I wouldn't be surprised by a SP or C move either.
