Ratings are up for all things based on the new ratings system.

NBA ratings were up 92% for the 1st two weeks and over 30% for the first month.

World Series ratings were way up etc.

It's all the new ratings formula.

The Dallas Cowboys' 2024 Thanksgiving game against the New York Giants drew 38.5 million viewers. 2025 vs the Chiefs had almost 20 million more viewers.....Kansas City Chiefs are the World's Team.

Always suspicious of these ratings numbers.
This game beats the previously most-viewed regular season game in the history of the league by over 1/3? How is that even possible?

Nielsen recently overhauled their entire ratings process, primarily to more “accurately” account for streaming and Out-of-Home (OOH) viewers.

Sports viewership has been the biggest beneficiaries. Ratings across almost all leagues and sports have seen a significant boost, primarily due to OOH viewership, that the includes anyone at watch parties, bars, restaurants, a friend’s house, etc.

Most of the OOH viewers are based on estimates and algorithms. Very curious how Nielsen tabulated Thanksgiving viewership, because it is a singular and unique day for TV viewing.

Like both teams but viewing numbers for anything are completely fake now.

I guess it doesn’t really matter to the league or the networks but I wonder how many viewers were dialed in watching the game vs throwing the Cowboys game on since it’s Thanksgiving and having it run in the background.

What about the 1.5 billion who watched Argentina vs France. With that many viewers I'm sure they're all going straight to hell.

First NFL game I've watched in years.....

Because the house I went to put it on after lunch.

After five minutes I went outside and threw a football with the kids.

You ain't lying. I was watching it thinking to myself that it would be nice if both teams could somehow lose the game. Then it went to, I would settle for a Cowgirls loss and Chiefs win as long as Kelce and Mahomes got injured. Good times.

I tuned in.

Only because I was hoping Creed would do an anniversary halftime show.

It HAS TO happen next year.
