Lots of Shreveport oil money has funded that endowment.

Centenary and Texas Tech played a game in a driving rainstorm in 1939. The conditions were so bad, both teams just punted the ball back and forth to each other in hopes of creating a turnover on the return.

77 punts
14 fumbles
0 points scored.

I saw Centenary play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in baseball once. They were down by 6 or 7 runs and came back to win 10-9. CSB

Centenary is a college, not a university.

Seth Lugo was born in Shreveport, but grew up in Bossier City-played at Parkway High School.

The Centenary player who’s in the NFL Hall of Fame is Cal Hubbard. Played for the Packers and Giants. He’s also in the baseball Hall of Fame and the college football Hall of Fame. He was an American League umpire from 1936 to 1951.

Centenary basketball was lit in the 80’s. Those teams were fun. Willie Jackson then Larry Robinson. Some pretty good players around during that time. They almost made it to the dance a couple of times, but lost in the conference tournament championship game.

Had a high school buddy play basketball at Centenary back in late 90's early 2000's. He's still proud to be a Gentleman.

Who cares what they did in the 30s?

They’re playing 10 games this year against 6 teams total, it’s a step above HS ball

Most of my HS buddies played baseball for Centenary and coach Farrar who was also an Astros scout.

Very nice guy. I've went to church with his grandma since I was a kid. I didn't realize he was having that good of a season. He gambled on himself and won and now he's backing it up. Good for him.

CSB but my first LSU baseball game was a midweek game vs. Centenary at Fair Grounds Field in ’93 or ‘94. I was 8 or 9 at the time, all I remember is Todd Walker hit 2 bombs and LSU won 18-3

They should've made the dance when Robert Parrish was there.
