heart issues can go undetected for a long time
it's not something most people up to that age are getting tested for
some kids go undiagnosed even with seeing your regular doctor

it could be something simple that can be fixed fairly easily
if more complicated than it's possible his hoops career is over

My youngest brother had a bundle blockage that caused his heart to speed up to insane levels. He had to have surgery at 14 after playing basketball and not being able to catch his breath. My father had the same thing that wasn’t discovered until an attack.

I believe there was a case this year or last where a player discovered a heart detect at the NFL combine. Very easy to go deep into your career and have no clue until something happens

It obviously will change his life, poorly worded by me. I really just meant hope it is not the end of his career.

Let’s just assume he got the vaccine - regardless of this incident - there is absolutely no reason for a healthy 18 year old to get the shot

Serious: Sudden heart issues in young basketball players usually means the career is over. Thoughts to the family.

Silly: Floppin’ like his pops

Pray he's able to fully recover and continue his chosen career.

Why? His father was a very outspoken opponent of the vaccine. It’s safer to assume he didn’t if you want to make assumptions
