That’s terrible. I hope he has a full recovery and is able to continue playing.

Lebron nor most of the nba superstars didn’t get the vaccine. The nba just didn’t want the shite storm of their stars not being allowed to play

What's funny about this is that you get mad at other people and their conspiracy theories but here you are making one up on the spot just to defend the vaccine.

You have defended the vaccine non-stop since it came out. Crazy.

Fake news. This will be used as a excuse for when he sucks at the next level.

understand it’s rare, but it’s kinda crazy an ECHO isn’t part of routine health screenings at the age of 15 or so. It would take this rare occurrence, and basically make it obsolete completely.

Completely agree.

Some of you may remember the story, but my cousin was the young man who passed away at Dutchtown. After all the reports came out, it was discovered they didn't have anything on hand to even attempt to help and all the coach did was stand around and stare while others tried to call 911. No one so much even attempted any life saving measures. Even if they wouldn't have helped, seems like such a shitty thing.

My uncle and aunt made a huge push to get a bill passed that would require every high school in the state to at the minimum have defibrillators and someone on staff who can do CPR.

ETA - I know the used to also hold a bunch of events to get kids screened. Found over 200 middle and high schoolers that had issues and were able to get help before it went any further. I'm not sure if they still do that or not, though. I think they tried to get the in the bill (high school athletes getting their heart tested) but I'm not sure if that made it through. It's been a while.

I don’t defend the vaccine. I just post the factual data surrounding it or any occurrence that happens and this board posts about it. Data is data, not defense of anything one way or the other. You view that as “defending it” because you have a particular narrative in your mind you want to see unfold

I understand medicine isn’t free, but I would love to know the amount of young cardiac deaths that would be prevented if routine ECHOs were part of the annual checkup at 15 years of age

Yet here you are defending your own made-up conspiracy that Lebron and others including the NBA lied about getting the vax in complete conflict of the facts presented by Lebron and the NBA stating they did get the vax.

Making up conspiracy theories to defend his narrative too. Sad

To clarify: you’re saying that this didn’t happen and was staged because we wasn’t good enough to play college basketball?

That is a complete side point that has nothing to do with the actual vaccine itself. It’s inconsequential to the story about Bronny.

Lebron isn’t the one that had an episode, so I’m not sure why some want to discuss his vax status so much.

Not really

Then why did you bring up 3 separate times that you have no doubt Lebron is not vaxxed and he and the NBA lied about it?

I just edited my last post, but I'd feel confident in saying there'd probably be a few hundred high schoolers saved each year if they did yearly test.

Again, I don't remember the exact numbers, but I do remember in a fairly short amount of time, they helped at least 200 (that I can remember) and probably more. They would hold 5ks and things like that to raise money for equipment for schools and at those events, they would also screen for free.

Its more of an attack on how I feel about Lebron and the absurdity of “vaccine requirements”

All any NBA player had to do was get a doctor to sign a piece of paper. The entire charade of vax requirements was always that, a charade.

Regardless, whether or not LeBron is vaccinated has nothing to do with this entire incident.

Living4Burke - a community comes together to raise awareness

frick man, I just teared up seeing his pic. At 14 he had his life together more than mine is at 36. We lost a great one that day.

ETA -

Burke Cobb, 14, died from Hypertropic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). HCM is a serious heart condition that is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in young athletes. It is believed to exist in roughly 1 out of 500 individuals, and approximately one case of sudden cardiac death occurs every three days in organized youth sports across the United States.

I’m prone to skepticism around Lebron. While I do believe there was a medical concern at play here, I’m hesitant to believe that it was as serious as a cardiac arrest. Unfortunate as it is, his family gets affected by his propensity towards dramatic behavior.

And yet in this thread, you have gone all in to make it a "fact" that Lebron was not vaccinated. Why did you feel the need to do that?

That was rhetorical as we all know why. It's because if Lebron was vaccinated then the logical conclusion is Bronny is too and that looks bad for your precious vaccine.

Clown.
