Apparently the probable cause of this was a “congenital heart defect,” (could be a million things) but they think he’s going to make a full recovery and continue playing basketball. I work in the cardiology field and it seems a little far fetched for a congenital defect that causes sudden cardiac arrest to be fully fixable and recoverable with regards to professional athletics.

I get that they want privacy and to be as vague as possible, but I’m curious to what exactly he had

Quite a few different types of congenital heart defects that can be corrected and normal life resumed, which I imagine you are well aware. However, when most people suffer arrest, they aren’t in a situation like James where he was surrounded by medical staff and a defibrillator. He was EXTREMELY lucky, and a huge reason why people have said defibrillator need to be in every gym across America
