Without Bobby FSU would probably in the AAC at best today. They aren't a Power 5 without him

Simply a legend, and not just a football legend. My favorite Bobby story has always been the one about the 2003 Sugar Bowl against UGA and our QB problem, Bobby had better timing and delivery than any of these current late night hosts

Fug USA Today. Never pass an opportunity to forward your agenda, even if it has nothing to do with a legend’s current condition.

Stories like this just remind me of the song My Way. It's rough when guys like this finally pass, but the man has lived a life better than most men can ever dream of. I doubt he will have may regrets as he sets his affairs in order

His 93 team is one of the most underrated of alltime.

Sad to hear, he is a great man. I remember hearing him speak several times at the fellowship of Christian athletes breakfast prior to the sugar bowls. I was probably 10 years old so and was truly captivated.

Being 92, in and of itself, is a terminal condition.

Good run, Bobby.

Kudos for FSU coming to LSU multiple times to play football
Loved going to those games as a kid in Tiger Stadium against Bowden and the boys
The Orange throwing game was lit!

I was there for 3 of them. Bowden was the original "We'll play anybody, anywhere". The '81 team played 5 straight ROAD games against #17 Nebraska, #7 Ohio State, Notre Dame, #3 Pitt and LSU.

This is sad news. Good man. Great coach.

He contributed so much to a sport that's brought so much fun to so many of us

The story of Bobby Bowden helping Marshall after their plane crash is a great one. He gave the Marshall coaches all of WVU's playbooks and game film to help them install a veer offense with a whole new roster. He also petitioned the NCAA to allow his WVU team to forfeit their own game, wear Marshall's uniforms, and play Marshall's final game of the m

I remember that scene from
The movie. Had no idea that was Bobby Bowden being portrayed.

Weird that you brought that song up. Just heard that song for the first time last weekend at my uncles funeral and he was exactly the same way. Small town country boy, came to dominate his field and develop massive wealth, retired and did what he loved in his old age before finally passing away as a very old man.

They played that song at his funeral and I’ve been listening to it all week.

Bobby has talked the talk and walked the walk.

A true Christian man. Someone all of these fake, evangelical Pharisees could only hope of being.

God Bless Bobby Bowden.

FSU had no fan base, a crappy stadium and couldn't draw a home crowd. Bowden built a following by beating the big boys on the road.

Fun fact: FSU was a women's college until after WWII

Pancreatic cancer. Saw it on the crawler on ESPN earlier, per Terry Bowden.
