It has to do with him trying to start shite. He says they are exclusionary, racist and sexist. They have a black female member who they showed on the grounds last weekend. And he's bringing up the past. They have black members. They now have female members. What does golf have to do with anything? At most it's a tool to get people to watch so the announcers can spew their own political opinion bullshite to all the viewers who would never otherwise hear what they have to say because no one fricking cares. Espn and CBS aren't using the tournament for that purpose and Costas is butt hurt.

Great. Has he added historian to his professional undertakings? Is he going to go to Germany next and bitch to them about the holocaust? Maybe go preach at stalins grave about what a bad person he was? I'm just not understanding with everything that has happened in the past, he picks this as his crusade...

I think mentioning in passing the destructive social positions that this particular club has taken would be fine. I don't need to hear about it ad naseum and FWIW I don't have a problem with CBS/Nantz for not mentioning it.

He mentioned the Tienanmen Square incident when he was in Beijing for the Olympics, which i also thought was appropriate.
