i feel that your private choices among other privat parties are a legitimate social issue. you racism should end

It's perfectly logical, you just disagree with it. Which is fine. I don't want to argue the case or whether civil rights law is valid. but to ask "what is the state interest?" when you went to law school is just absurd. You know the interest, you're just feigning ignorance.
The question was whether Augusta was a "private club" under the law, given that they open their facilities to the public. But you knew that as well.

You apparently seem to think you understand it as well, no? Saying you think Costas feels that's his job.
I'm just comparing him to others in similar roles, and they aren't making these kind of statements and coming off as insufferable pricks.

i don't think just anybody from the public can go there, though. the boy scouts case made it pretty clear that Augusta can discriminate all that they wish.

Again go back to my wives analogy. And today they have admitted women and blacks. Good for them. But to deny that there was a point in the not too distant past where the membership at Augusta was resistant to a woman or minority member is just ignorant and i don't think you really believe otherwise. It's fair to criticize them for that although I would defend their right to take that position.

It's an important contextual detail of that clubs history. I have no problem with someone mentioning that during Masters week. It's real. It happened. I don't want a dissertation on it and I'm not even upset that CBS hasn't done it but the fact that y'all flip out over someone saying they would have mentioned it once is ridiculous IMO.

I see that there is an argument going on here, but I would like to throw in my 2 cents. I have grown tired of Costas, report sports, stop spouting out your beliefs to everyone else. The only reprieve I will give him is that he was on a radio show being asked questions, so he can answer how he wants. But the gun thing was out of line in my mind, and this is as well.

Augusta racism came out again today, penalizing Guan and causing him to miss the cut. Augusta National hates the Chinese!
