re: Things to do in Dana Point, Cali

The half day or longer fishing excursions are always a nice time and good way to see the coast from Laguna Beach down to San Clemente. Unfortunately, harbor is going through a massive renovation right now so a lot of that is out of commission.
San Juan Capistrano right up the road from Dana Point is one of my favorite little towns along the coast and has a bunch of good restaurants with an old town charm to it. And if you wanted to take the Surfliner for a quick day trip to north county San Diego (Solana Beach/Del Mar), it's a pretty ride along the water and one of the few stops is in San Juan.
Final suggestion for a nice sunset activity, google Seaview trail and/or top of the world laguna niguel.

Second this times a thousand.
Paul McGinley of all people is a breath of fresh air compared to Eamon and Brandel.
It was particularly bad last night. They are so damn condescending.

As a golf nerd, as my kids call me, and having grown up in New Orleans right by City Park, I really hope this goes on in some way. The Zurich and TPC Louisiana just don't do it for me. Would love to see the likes of Rahm, Bryson, Phil, Oostie, etc. play on a piece of land where I and many others I know first hit a golf ball.

Hey, if the Zurich wants a better spot on the PGA schedule and to still be a tournament on tour, state of Louisiana better cancel LIV.

I’m curious what makes someone a better fitter than someone else other than access to technology and equipment?
I play mostly Titleist equipment and always get fitted by a Titleist rep prior to buying any new clubs. Just bought some new irons and wedges and the fitter that worked with me this time was, IMO, light years better than other Titleist reps I had used before. Where I saw the difference was him not only talking about shafts, heads, etc., but he was also focused on weighting, lie angle, bounce, turf interaction, flight of the ball in the different combinations; you name it. He brought more variables into the fitting and just seemed to know how to take all of those different variables, my feedback on same, and the data on Trackman, and build the best club for me.
Definitely don't feel like I can blame the clubs any longer
He is eviscerating the Pelicans as I write this.
Pure joy. I don't even really like figure skating, but man, give that girl her props. And the story behind her family. :usa:

Randomly paired with Teemu Selänne in a charity golf event; even shared a cart with him. It was like playing golf with your good friend. Absolute blast.
Plus Kyle Larson before the last race at Fontana right after national anthem. He could not have been nicer to my son and even went to locate a pen so that he could sign diecast.
