LINK With video & Watson's short explanation of HCBU lost talent & economic disparities.

" When I saw the uproar over it ,I read the article" ,Watson told Laura Ingraham..." I agreed with her( Hill) . She had some great points in that article".

Watson was asked isn't that " Re-segregating the country?".......

Watson , " No because segregation ,as you know , is government mandated...this is NOT segregation. If you read the article..."(snap)

Ben Watson says MAGGA!:

Hell why not. Let's just segregate everything again and see how that works out for them.

Let them all play for HBCUs. Won't take then but a week or so to realize they are treated like second class citizens compared to playing at the major universities they play at now.

Just because you say that doesn't make it true.

Just like when they try to say racism has a power component, when really it's nothing more than hating someone because of their race.

Just curious, but how is it segregation when white people and other races can attend the school?

HBCUs are ripe with mismanagement and embezzlement. Those players would never see the fruits of their labor playing there.

So segregation is okay as long as it’s not government mandated?

Interesting.

That’s partly why Grambling can’t get any donations.

Doug Williams was trying to get a bunch of improvements for the players and the school administration fricked him and stole the money IIRC.

Everybody makes mistakes, Ben is wrong here. Ben had every opportunity to go play for one of those schools yet he didn't, I wonder why not?

Great idea. They can have the black schools and we can have the white schools.

Question

When Ben was in New Orleans, did he send his children to the predominantly white or black schools?

When Ben went to college, did he choose the predominately white or black school?

I still like Ben Watson and think he is a great person. However, he is being a virtue signaling hypocrite here in this instance

Need to ask his wife if she wants her kids to go to Episcopal like she did or if they need to go to McKinley instead.

If Segregation requires a government mandate, then people should stop complaining about white flight. It is not in any way mandated by the government and entirely voluntary.

Furthermore, her article and argument are garbage because there is nothing preventing a 5 star athlete from going to an HBCU. They can easily go and some have.

There is no rigged system to keep them out of HBCUs. I think people should go to the place that will offer them the most opportunity moving forward, not just because of their race or the race of those around them.

The meaning and value of HBCUs has completely gone down and in fact a majority of them are horrid academic institutions. There are many that are great to be honest, but they aren't the majority.
