They do so by grade fixing

Many of these schools have single % graduation rates

I'm not saying I agree with Jemele or Watson on this issue. Don't even really care to read her article.

That being said, don't people on this board, the OT and the poliboard advocate for self-segregation daily?

We all make fun of hipsters and millennials who move into rough neighborhoods and whites generally leave an area once enough non-whites move in. What's the issue with self segregation? Whites and non-whites have been self segregating without government intervention for decades.

ETA: I wouldn't advocate for athletes (or anyone really) to go to an HBCU if they have the opportunity to go to a top state/private university. I guess going to an HBCU might be better than doing nothing at all but

Just simply asking why some people are up in arms about "advocating for self segregation".

Ben got a has a great point... it’s probably not practical... but he has a point... it’s not really hard to imagine LSU having all white players and going 0-12 ...

So, like other schools.

I’m not gonna ask for a link or evidence. I know Amadeo, etc will demand that. Lol

What percentage?

Let me help you out. The largest share of successful black college grads went to HBCUs.

Not when it's a statement pulled completely out of your arse without a link of any kind to back up your assertion.

It’s funny how you don’t demand that of those making assertions you agree with.

And links were provided.

Your “research” is based on feels?

Wrong. They are so enlightened that they didn’t even know Ben Watson was black. They don’t see color, remember? Only racists see color.

Nope.

Do you call customer satisfaction feels? Jfc

Ad Homs are weak. Either address the content or stfu.

But, chew on this. About 10 percent of black college students attend HBCU. Yet they produce 25% of all Stem grads.

And Xavier graduates more STEM than ANY OTHER SCHOOL.

I know. They are all just being passed through.

I honestly don’t know how exactly to refute your points they are so ludicrous

Studies have shown the average high school grad is better off going straight into the work force than going to an HBCU.....And that’s compared to only HBCU grads, not even those that don’t graduate

Ben Watson isn't wrong; there isn't much in Hill's article that can be seen as promoting segregation. It's more a speculative article as to how HBCUs could be invigorated if black athletes chose to attend them instead of P5 schools. It's a pipe dream, of course, HBCUs do not have the infrastructure to compete with bigger schools and your average 4 and 5 star recruits don't have HBCUs on their radar.
