Nevermind the fact that she’s a moron and she can’t stand America. I feel bad for her anyway. Yes, she committed the crime. But it’s hard not to feel sympathy for a fellow American.

It is most certainly cruel. It most certainly does not fit the crime. But these are the rules you must play by when in a foreign country.
I hope that we can somehow secure her at some point in the future and I hope by that time she has learned how truly blessed she is to be an American.

"Folks in Federal prison over pot?" FWIW, Rogan said he researched this & once he found no one in a Federal prison for simple pot, he had one of his staff research it as well. Again, it was determined that there is no one in a Federal pen for simple possession of pot. Possession of pot is not a Federal crime. Under certain circumstances, distribution of pot can be, i.e. as in transporting it across state lines with the intent to sell.

1. That wouldn’t deter a thing. Punishment historically has been negligible in crime prevention. There was even a time in British history where almost any crime was a death sentence. It did not stop crime.
2. That’s slavery. Your advocating turning prisoners into slaves. Which does nothing but further fuel the prison industrial complex that aims to keep as many people locked up as possible. GTFO of her with that vindictive shite.
