If anything the lesson they should take from having Diggs is that when they had him they were most successful.
What?

Bills offense has absolutely improved getting rid of diggs everywhere

The guy is also maybe the worst playoff WR of all time considering he is a #1. Complete Houdini in the playoffs. In 18 playoff games he averages 56 yards a game

He also completely disappeared for the pats this playoffs. 27 yards a game

AJ just wants to play for a real QB.
Pats have one. And obviously Vrabel is familiar with him. No need to pair him with that choke artist in Buffalo.

As a Packers fan, please or the love of God let the Vikings sign Geno Smith. He's actually worse than JJ McCarthy if that's possible.

I'm not talking about getting Diggs back but they are back in a search of a go to receiver and if the plan is to find the mythical quiet humble one they might be searching a while.

Yet their search for a wr 1 continues.

Well the qb disappeared too

Geno Smith or Murray would definitely be an upgrade at QB2 over Carson Wentz.

When you QB conversation centers around JJ McCarthy, Kyler Murray, Geno Smith, Carson Wentz, Tua and Kirk Cousins…you are absolutely fricked!

If I was them, I’d be trying like hell to trade for Mac Jones or trade pick 18 for a late 20 and early 3rd rounder and draft Ty Simpson and Nussmier/Allar/Jalon Daniels/Taylon Green. And those aren’t great options either.

Can someone explain the Carnell Tate hype to me? He is a WR2, not WR1. He didn’t show up in big games and has had Egbuka and Smith in front of him taking all of the elite CBs. Seriously when is the last time a clear cut WR2 went top 10 overall or shite even in the first round? I will be so pissed if the Skins waste their 7th on him.

I have been thinking the same thing but didn't post because you're just labeled an OSU hater. He's top 10 in every mock draft I've seen. I don't get it. Top 10 WRs should be game changers. He's never been anything close to that.

Their QB room last year was McCarthy, Wentz, and an undrafted rookie. All started multiple games. And they went 9-8 and were a play away from winning the NFC North. Probably the best division in football.

The Vikings with 2nd year McCarthy, Murray/Smith, and X at QB isn’t fricked. I’m willing to bet you didn’t actually watch the Vikings last year

I did a deep dive on this yesterday to see which WRs have gone in the first round with as little production as he had their final seasons and this was the list since 2000..and it’s ugly:

Ted Ginn Jr
Jonathan Baldwin
Darius Heyward Bey (what a terrible draft pick )
Jalen Reagor
AJ Green (was also bigger, faster, stronger than Tate and going up against elite CBs)

That’s it. That’s the list of WRs with less than Tate’s 875 yards
And they’re talking about this dude going top 10. Insanity.

I’m an OSU fan through and through and I agree with you.

To me he’s a late first early second talent

It's not that people are being unfair or hating on him. He just screams complimentary guy.

He's only being projected so high because of the lack of supply this year and not the intrinsic value he presents. I really hope the Saints don't pick him.

OSU producing so many elite WR prospects lately SHOULD make the comparison easier

I can agree with this. Seen Skins fans comparing him to Terry, but Terry was drafted in the 3rd round not 7th overall!

Not an Ohio state hate thing either because I would love Styles or Downs at 7.

AJ was suspended for the first 4 games for selling one of his jerseys while at the same time the UGA merch store was selling #8 jerseys just without Green on the back.

100%. This is exactly why Tate is being played up so much.

This class for WRs is pretty thin; really only about 10-12 players deep. That even includes guys like Germie Bernard in that group, guys who will be solid pros, but #2 or #3 guys. There isn't much top-end talent this year.

I would say he's one of the better contested ball catchers OSU has put out the last 5 years.

He's a bit "stiff" compared to the other top guys. He certainly would be last to me of the group, which again isn't a knock. It's just he is prob a WR2 not a WR1 like all the rest are/should be

They traded him for a 4th & 7th round pick and OL Juice Scruggs.

Murray is terrible. He was benched for Jacoby fricking Brissett. JJ is terrible. The roster outside of QB is very good. That will put a lot of pressure on the coach and front office. The fanbase is already frustrated and bringing in a low level QB to compete with another low level QB will only frustrate them more. Unfairly, that will put the coach on the hot seat after Justin Jefferson becomes rightfully disgruntled.

Darnold was terrible before he got to Minnesota too. Sometime quarterbacks just don't fit with the team they are on and need a change in scenery. They wouldn't be signing Murray to a ten year contract. They would give him a one or two year deal that costs them little if he stinks. I thought last year the Cardinals and Dolphins should trade Murray and Tua for one another just to see if the problem is the quarterback or the organization that drafted the quarterback.

Chicago's starting center, Drew Dalman, is retiring. Bad news for Caleb Williams.

The Bears now need starters at both C and LT.
