Possible Lanxess expansion sounds like good news for SLI.
That might be a positive.

Lanxess has also applied for determination of royalties on lithium production with the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission.
Application to be on December docket. I believe it's the first application listed for December 12.
Just FYI but they were on the docket last year and withdrew the request for determination of royalties.

I wonder what acres/$$$ lease value on this outlying props. Hopefully the locals get a hefty bonus too when all this works out.
I’ve started stacking powder again slowly.

I didn’t realize Tetra was working on their own DLE technology for their leases not already contracted with SLI. I’ll be watching for their report coming out in December. The smackover formation has a lot of players on the move. Let’s go SLI!
btw What happened to el Gaucho? Is he ok?

I think they are most likely going to partner with SLI on their leases in Columbia and Lafayette counties. That could be the southwest Arkansas future project that has been mentioned. I believe Tetra said they were opening a bromine facility, which would make sense. Could explain why they sold their SLI shares though. Or that could be the cash they are going to help build a new facility.
ETA-Tetra would be at a major cost disadvantage as they would have to build the facility, drill the brine and disposal wells, and put in pipeline infrastructure that's already in place at Lanxess, SLI (Formerly Tetra) and Albermarle. Maybe they shite the bed and are trying to get back in. I think they still have rights to 10% of SLI's production at old Tetra site unless something changed.
My personal thought is this will be done with SLI technology.

SLI applied for a determination of royalties too. Wasn’t sure that was specifically mentioned here.

Has to be what drove the jump today.

More like Fed starting to show cracks and the bond market really starting to say they arent getting to 5.5% terminal rate.
All your high beta stocks with earnings way off in the future should be jumping big.
December CPI is shaping up to be a powder keg for all stocks one way or the other.

One of our auburn supporters mentioned our page on the Seeking Alpha site today. Got some notice from Austin Craig at least.

He had been aware of this thread in the past. I re-posted the Magnolia Report after seeing it here. Hope it brought some life back to the comments thread under his article.

I wish SLI would publicize its green advantages to green media. SLI is fundamentally the greenest of the green in the green world of EV's. It's a big socio-economic political movement even if too much of it is unrealistic, impractical and unworkable. The SLI, lithium, green and EV connection is practical and makes economic sense.

This a very ignorant study of the firm. Your words show a deep ignorance of SLI and the relationship with its 'partners'. Do more better research, dude.

@GHFISHER Where was mention that SLI recently had 2 of its 3 pending patents approved? Why does the author think that Laxness is a "pardner" as opposed to "a supplier & investor"? Where did the author mention that all "permits" for the extraction had been issued? Where did the author mention the large "Koch" investment last year?
Well, I weary of shooting fish in a barrel. For me, it seems like the author is discounting SLI to pump Galan Lithium (a non-US endeavor in terms of the Build Back Better Act).

A press release was issued regarding the beginning of site work for the 1st phase. Not too much info was provided but at least the project is advancing.

Looks like SLI secured the actual land lease for the project on Lanxess site. this will allow the design team to do site visits, project walks.
The Big question is still out there though and is stating in the middle of the press release-
The positive DFS is the key. The timing on this announcement was Q2 2023 i believe.

At least someone thought this news was worth $4k at a bargain price of less than 4.00/share.

Don't you hate when you check in on your favorite thread eleven freakin hours later for some kinda good news, and your own damn nonsense post is still the last thing there?

For entirely selfish reasons, I hope this sticks around $4 for the next couple of months. I’ll be grabbing another 10k-ish shares in January if we’re at this level. I’d do it now, but ya know, gotta move some money from savings to checking, balance some accounts, call some debt, big boy stuff.
Either way, the writing is on the wall. This was a bat signal. The contingencies help Lanxess, but I still don’t think they sign this without conviction. DFS is three months deep. They know what the financials look like.
Obviously my opinion, haven’t talked to anyone, but I still think they’re breaking ground by June. It’s getting close. Curious to see their cash burn on the next Q.

So, you're sayin' there's still a chance that we can all buy SLI Lambos?
