Im super high on LSU and we could easily lose 3 games against this schedule. I think a lot rides on the opener. If you win, you give yourself a lot of wiggle room in SEC play. Lose and you have to play damn near perfect the rest of the way.

Why "Yikes"? A guy with a youtube channel thinks we'll go 9-3. I say we go 10-2. So what? It's just another opinion...albeit an opinion from a guy more famous than me but definitely not worthy of a Yikes.

Have you watched his shows during the season? He is pretty good at breaking down plays and analyzing why certain plays work or not.
I don't know if his prediction will pan out, but give him some cred.
9-3 is a reasonable guess. I am guessing 10-2 same as you. The difference between 11-1 and 8-4 can be a few plays in a few key games. If Nuss has 12 pics (last year's number) we could be at 4 losses and 1 loss if he cuts that in half.

It's just simple math. If we lose to Clemson week 1, to finish 10-2 we'd need to go 10-1 the rest of the way with the following opponents -
Texas A&M
South Carolina
Florida
At Bama
At OU
At Ole Miss
Very unlikely.

You're starting the season on the road against a top 5 team. How many times has LSU football won a true road game against a top 5 opponent?

Kelly is going to be here through 2027 unless he starts missing bowl games. I don’t think that’s a controversial take to anyone who’s plugged into LSU athletics.

i mean Im really high on this team and Kelly but is it really that much of a stretch for us to lose to clemson and bama on the road and then to OU on the road?
lets say texas and UGA go 11-1 and Bama 11-2

Well, he’s slightly more optimistic than many on here looking at an 8-4 finish being more likely.
