Look I am not usually one of these sports conspiracy wackos but this thread struck a chord. Look at these very recent past major LSU coaches changes / issues that made the national media talking heads lose their freaking minds when they occurred:
Miles fired / Coach O hired
Fargas fired / Mulkey hired
Coach O fired / Kelly hired
Wade : strong offer recording.
Kelly fired / Kiffin hired
McMahon fired / wade hired
Jay Johnson hiring may the only one that did not cause an uproar.
I challenge anyone to offer a comparable college athletic team / department across the US that endured more national media hatred than LSU. In fact bring anything to the table for discussion even remotely close to this.
There is something to the OP’s argument.
Miles fired / Coach O hired

There is truth to this because Yankees hate no matter what if you're from the South and people from other regional states call me a coonass cause I'm from Louisiana even though I'm a protestant redneck from CenLa

I've worn LSU ballcaps all over the US and a good bit of Central Asia to an overwhelmingly positive reaction. The only "negatives" were playful jibes from fans of other SEC schools. I would honestly consider those positive as well.

There is some validity to it. I honestly don’t know why, but some of what the OP posted can’t be refuted, like corrupt politics. That isn’t limited to Louisiana though.

I’ve recently moved back to Louisiana and the LSU fan base is absolutely the worst. You can’t talk reasonably with anyone.
LSU fans have talked a whole lotta shite with minimal success outside of baseball. Yes Kim won a natty but her teams haven’t been much of a threat bc Dawn owns her. BK didn’t sniff the playoffs, Lane hasn’t proven much. Our most likable coach is Jay and he is also our most successful.
No one likes someone who just throws around money with no consistent success to show for it, just come off as a spoiled little rich kid.

It's more about the perception of it being a small state that ranks low in median income, education, infrastructure, opportunity, and a "flagship" that is ranked between the 60s and 90s of public universities by several sources.
They find it hard to balance those perceptions with attention and resources spent on LSU Athletics.
We, on the other hand, balance the disparity because of the immense pride felt towards our Tigers and their accomplishments. When LSU does well it lifts the spirits of the entire state.

Find me a list of college athletics programs who have had a 20-25 year run comparable to ours currently. The only other one is Florida.

Man, government at every level is corrupt and crooked as hell. I may hear more about La because I live here. But I would bet if I did the research every state has its share of stories. Maybe La is in the upper half, but I don’t just assume that.

If Ole Miss did what we did, it would be the same. For some reason Alabama never got that treatment, but that’s because of Saban. Georgia is a punchline for their football issues.
THE difference is that LSU is trying to do it with all major sports. I mean, to someone who doesn’t know the inner-workings and funding for college athletics, it obviously looks bad that we have spent tens of millions on buyouts and salaries when the state is near the bottom in education, infrastructure, etc. College sports fans know that the money for those issues isn’t coming from university donors, but the dolts on social media probably don’t.
Also, Kiffin and Wade didn’t do themselves any favors in their pressers. Again…I don’t care. Other fanbases would accept the same thing. But these media folks are just typing out clickbait shite that is low hanging fruit. Will Wade resigned via an agent email?? Who gives a shite. Lane bailed on a team in the CFP? So…it’s a dog eat dog world.
The hating is entertainment. It’s fun. It’s what makes college sports exciting.
