Threw in every victimhood buzzword you could think of
Playing victim is not a Cajun mindset, but BR isn’t very Cajun so I wouldn’t expect most here to understand that

LSU was the cool guys until Brian Kelly got snatched from Notre Dame.

It’s not unique to LA, nor would I suspect it’s more prevalent here.

The old people may not like us but the younger people love us.
I live in Maryland and I have definitely noticed it. And I’m 65.

I love it. Louisiana is a unique place. Our coaches reflect that.
We currently have extremely capable coaches with big personality and they embrace LA culture. It's a perfect fit. frick the world, we ridin!

No doubt, but everybody else thinks they live in Mayberry 1965. Glass houses and all that.

I’m pretty sure most people don’t care. But Louisiana fans love to play the victim so continue on with this narrative I guess.

It’s definitely a lot of corruption going on. Bc the newly hired lsu president and assistant AD, were only hired bc they are friends of the governor. So lsu was only able to hire a guys from Mcneese? Would lsu hire a football coach from mcneese?

FYI, they hate the entire south with the exception of Florida and that's because Florida is the new northeast.

But …. Baton Rouge and the rest of the state North of Ville Platte are Protestant, Scot’s-Irish.
LSU ain’t too Cajun if you ask me. Baton Rouge isn’t. New Orleans isn’t.

We are not called the Fightn Tigers for nothing.
Look it up. Very interesting history.
Several other SEC schools have team mascots that originated from the Civil War as well.

I said this in another thread. It fits here better..Illinois's coach Brad Underwood left Oklahoma State after just one year. No one in the media bashed Illinois or Brad Underwood. OSU even got hit with sanctions after he left for recruiting violations. Not a peep from the national media.

No, we spent all our lives trying to do that, we need to EMBRACE IT. EMBRACE BEING THE VILLAIN like the U and Bad Boy Pistons during the 80s.

LSU behaves exactly like every other school and Yankees and Southerners from the “Baptist South” find every reason to hate LSU. It’s anti-Catholic and anti-Cajun bias related to old regional biases and bigotries. Assumptions of “Waterboy.” The assumption of corruption is constant. When a good coach comes here, they all feel betrayed. They can’t fathom it. Why would anyone good want to go THERE with THOSE people? It’s LSU against the world no matter what we do. Might as well ignore it.
Well said. Finally someone else recognizes this pattern

I think it’s more a reaction to a non-historical blue blood “big 10” type program dragging its massive pecker through the national sports world that has them upset. tOSU or Duke could do the same things and they’d never complain.

This is 100% correct. The only reason the media hates on this is because Landry got so involved and he is Trump's bitch and sounds like dumbass.
You realize there really is nothing in Louisiana of significance besides LSU sports when you think of other SEC states governor's being this involved in their respective states athletic department hirings.
