Wouldn't it be some shite if Wade is vindicated as no actual offer is discovered, however the investigation leads to other, more prominent, programs actually making offers and payments to players?

If this was a legal situation he and a good lawyer would be fine. But the NCAA isn’t a legal situation and we don’t know what else is on the tapes yet.

This wouldn't surprise me one bit and LSU and WW need to sue the ever living crap out of the NCAA, Dicky V, and the rest of these media outlets for getting ahead of this and pumping out negetive propaganda.
If there was worse you can bet some of it would have leaked with this. This is all they have and I've said from the get go that this offer could be a damn snickers bar or offer him a first year SEC championship or NCAA bid then offer to get him prepared for the NBA faster than other schools.
No one knows what these offers are. It was leaked to do just what was done. Make LSU suspend Wade and hurt us in recruiting therefore our future bc they know damn well LSU can take off.
I keep hearing them say on local radio stations, oh they don't like WWs tactics and attitude. What about Saban? His tactics and attitude is the worst in CFB but he's allowed to talk to reporters how ever he wants because he "wins". How many times have we heard that from ESPN and the regional media? Well guess who else is just winning but not for Bama for LSU and its somehow different? Frick these double standard Mofo's.
These people must think we're dumb or it's simply that they're dumb and can't remember what they've been saying for years about coaches with similar winning ability. Man I'm so pissed about all of this.

I guarantee there is a huge leak bigger than what we have seen by a monumental amount coming around tournament time. I just pray it isnt another Wade leak and its a bigger fish

Yep, I think there is a bigger/worse story about to drop on Wade and Miller. Probably Thursday or Friday imo.
I don’t know for certain, just connecting some dots and a logical drip campaign aimed at max exposure by the defense team.

I could go with this. Actually, the trial will probably never even happen. It will be settled out of court and never brought up again. The tape will be considered property of the FBI, not the NCAA.

So it’s illegal to make an offer to a potential recruit but there is no factual evidence that Wade actually made an offer to Smart or any other player for that matter. You have a wiretap of Wade telling Dawkins who isn’t an eligible player about making an offer to a player which Wade can just say he was lying to Dawkins for some good reason. If the wiretap was Wade speaking to Smart then that’d be an easy violation.
