Dudes were trippin..... Standing on the dirt waiting for a pop up that lands halfway thru the outfield.. Twice that guy.....

Seriously though, it was bad. We still win regardless, but they certainly did help us.

I thought DBU was noticeably worse.

That Jones pop up was a big league pop up that probably had a good amount of backspin carrying towards the outfield. On top of that the wind was blowing out. Ball moved a ton, hard play for most dudes.

And "only" had 4 in the 2 games in SR; LSU had 3 - which doesn't count Hernandez on 3rd base

Grambling had 7 errors one time. I like to reference it any time a team is kicking it around and say they look like Grambling out there.

It's inexcusable for a CF to let your SS backpedal that far for a pop up and attempt to catch that. That's shite you learn in coach's pitch. I still remember my coach's pitch coach stressing us in the OF to call for it and not let anyone in the infield have to try to catch balls while running backwards. I was kind of a quiet guy and my coach said I needed to get over that and scream, shout, whatever I needed to do to call off the infielder and that was ingrained in my memory even to this day in my 30s.

It's one thing for two outfielders to get confused on whose ball it if it comes in the middle of each other's territory, but there's absolutely no excuse for the outfield to let infielders play those balls. I was very perplexed that it happened not only once but twice.

Seems that they have dirty mouths up there in West Virginia. Ole boy walking off field had some colorful words for LSU fans. They did pretty darn good to make it to a super regional. Especially considering the team is all hillbillies.

We called it as soon as it left the bat right behind home plate. The guy wasn’t close to being under it.

The Vols did not play a clean game in their 3 game series with us, not this bad, but their errors hurt them a lot.

Lucky those boys can bang balls and a couple good pitchers or they might not even have gotten a regional invite with fielding like that.

Yeah I was behind the plate as well and at no point of that ball being in the air was the 2nd basemen under the ball. I've never had that angle for that bad of a misplay at this level. It was awful

In 2000 UCLA had a similar experience. Couldn’t field ground balls, missed infield pop ups.

Henkel was trying to intentionally walk Cresse and threw it over the catcher and Wally scored from 3rd on the wild pitch.

Why every time since they changed the rule and just give them 1st now I yell about making them throw because of that one time 25 years ago.

Yep, and there was a pic floating around at that time of ucla’s pitchers melting in the heat similar to kartsonas. Ucla dude’s whole jersey was drenched in like 2-3 innings

Grambling should make errors though, not a good P4 in the Super Regional
