Why are you jacklegs so against allowing this thing to cool down?

Y'all have a raging case of vaginitis and want to go to war with the SEC and burn Sankey at the stake.
NONE OF THIS IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF LSU.
Let's get in line, move on from this, and push in everyone else's stool on the field.

Im ok with it cooling down.
Im not ok with LSU being asked/forced to accept any sort of penalty to 'show everyone' we can enforce rules (that werent broken).

Sure you aren't an A&M fan?
Before this is over, the following people need to be out of a job and facing RICO charges:
Sankey
Dellenger
Finebaum
the Karen AD at Tennessee

What line should we get in? The SEC moves the line everytime LSU falls into it.
This is a personal ego trip for Sankey. He needs to be fired and possibly executed publicly.

An SEC commissioner with a personal vendetta against your school isn't ideal.
Every bit of effort should be made to have him removed.

Because the SEC has hated and screwed LSU for years. Being in the SEC hurts LSU at this point.
You think refs were bad before? You really think the SEC is going to let us beat Bama and Tennessee later in the year? SEC refs will call 40 flags on LSU before they allow us to beat Bama and Tennessee.
The relationship is fundamentally broken. LSU can't even remotely expect the SEC to treat them fairly in anything at this point.

You do realize how low education this board is. Majority of the people have the breathing of the mouth chip on their shoulder

Sankey has the backing of a super majority of the SEC members.
He is doing what they want

I want this to turn into an actual war.

Backing or doing what they want?
Sounds like you predict LSU is on its way out of the conference with that as well.

Sankey will still be gone this time next year. Once the presidents no longer have use for him they will part ways.
Right now he is the "bad guy" doing their bidding.

Nothing has cooled down. They are adamant to force LSU to accept major penalities including suspension of Kiffin and major fines, probation.
F that. LSU should accept zero penalties. PERIOD.

You think anything we post on here is going to change the SEC's determination to punish LSU for hiring Kiffin?

I don't believe the SEC is interested in anything but an all fight over this issue. Sanky wants to boot LSU to make a point that he controls the Conference. LSU may want this to die down, but Sanky doesn't. The only acceptable solution for him is the complete submission of LSU, including firing Kiffin and accepting harsh penalties.

quote:Not sure what you mean. No one here is instigating anything. LSU is being sued this afternoon and the SEC has called for a meeting tomorrow to discuss and possibly vote on kicking LSU out of the conference.

The supposed adults in the room aren’t letting anything cool down, they’re acting like toddlers throwing a tantrum while entering the launch codes.

I do not pretend to understand how it got to this point. However, to answer your question, what the SEC has done is the equivalent of someone holding a pew pew to the head of LSU (or insert any other university name). That is not okay.
At this point, the SEC has pushed this too far.
1. The issues need to be clearly defined.
2. The issues need clear resolution so this does not happen again to any other university or any other conference.
3. If the SEC has abused its position and perceived authority that needs to be determined.
4. If LSU or any other university has violated SEC rules that needs to be addressed also.
5. Most importantly, rules need to be applied equally across the board. That has not happened during the entirety of the SEC history.
My $.02. Keep the change.
