If the rumors are true and that kid could've gone the Ivy route, he's a very dumb smart kid for not doing that.

Players that haven't been mentioned:

Corey Kiner had a 1,000 yard season at Cincinnati, and a solid 5.5 ypc.

Cam Wire started at LT for Tulane.

Xavier Hill started at RT for Memphis.

Kole "Shoe" Taylor had a solid year at West Virginia.

Desmond Little had 29 tackles and 5.5 sacks for UAB.

Sure there are a few more, but most players that transfer out don't do much.

I'm making this up, but LSU players transferring out have about a 30% success rate.

Did Akiem Hicks transfer or did he get kicked out?

Hicks committed to LSU in 2008 from JUCO and never played a down for the Tigers Recruiting violations by DJ McCarthy and the NCAA ruled him ineligible to play ANYWHERE for the 2009 season. He left the team in Jan. 2010 to focus on getting back into college (Canada) and playing football so he could improve his draft stock. Ironically, the SAINTS drafted him in 2012 (3rd Rd.). Then they traded him in 2015 to NE for TE Hoomanawakkalikalioah

Perrilloux went undrafted & never played a down in the NFL, but he got himself a Super Bowl ring!
Maybe the only ever by an lsu transfer?

Often, mental health issues materialize in the 18-21 year age range. I witnessed it a couple of times with people I grew up with. Arik has a full blown personality disorder and should likely spend a bunch of time in a mental health facility until he figures out a regimen of medicine and therapy that works for him.

I don’t believe that kid has mental issues. That’s an excuse that gets thrown out there every time a young person misbehaves or under performs now.

And If he does have mental issues then why the hell are his parents letting him continue to bounce around from state to state trying to make it in football instead of getting help? His situation is sketchy af and none of it adds up.

TJ Finley was a bust? Maybe at Auburn, but he had a good year at Texas State:

279-414
67.4%
3439 yards
8.3 yards/attempt
24 TD
8 INT
152.4 Rating

And Trey Quinn had 114 receptions for 1236 yards and 13 TDs at SMU, and got drafted.

I live in Atlanta and have a buddy whose son knows Gilbert. He says it's schizophrenia.

If you mean great success at the major college level, I couldn’t think of any. Then after reading the names mentioned above, I realized that it was because there were few if any players whose productivity we really missed.

Not everyone has the parents or familial support structure you or I have and he's a legal adult.

It is pretty well-known, from multiple sources, in multiple programs, that he has a diagnosed personality disorder of some sort and has acute episodes. He had a hospital inpatient stay while at LSU for a psych eval.

And, in very recent news, Finley has transferred to Western Kentucky to play out his CoviD year.

Why the downvotes on Quinn? He lead the nation in receptions per game at SMU with 114 catches. Ended up getting drafted and was on an NFL roster for three years. Nothing incredible but he did well.

McGlothern and Ricks. Next will be Lance Heard, and if you want to count him, Logan Diggs.

leading the nation in receptions and getting drafted isn't incredible?

I think it most certainly is.
