It’s such a stupid low iq talking point.
Yes we spent somewhere between 35 and 50 million but that’s what it takes to compete and ours was spread out over having to get 50 players. We had to get a full qb room thanks to BK, a full oline room and wr room.
If our roster wasn’t in such a disaster shape we could have got top end talent in position of need instead of having to only get one or two top end and try to find diamonds in the rough with the rest of them.
The first year gets a B, we don’t have a good win and yesterday snowballed but we have some bright spots and we will be better.
We just have a lot of low iq fans that think because of the portal football is somehow a 1 year turn around in the sec. They want to scream Kentucky did it but Kentucky got pantsed just as bad if not worse by bama and Tennessee just whipped them so they are us with an upset win over us. So not much difference.

Just because bad coaching lost 2 games this year - Kentucky and Alabama. The Ole Miss loss was understandable.
I'm confident in his ability to run the program long term, but he should have had a better first season

Sorry but its the truth. Hes lost to every team with a pulse that we've played. That's not what he was brought here for and its not acceptable. Collasal disappointment in year one.

D. I don’t think this is harsh at all. We should not be eliminated from playoff contention in the first week of November with a roster this expensive.
I'd probably grade him a D as well. We looked poorly coached and ill-prepapred in all three losses, and we're in a position to win each of those games, we just shite the bed. I've already lost interest in this season, and I know I'm not the only one. I still have high hopes for the future under Kiffin, but he's not in Oxford anymore and he will lose the fan base if he doesn't turn things around next season. I think he also needs to take a hard look at some of his assistants (particularly the OL and ST coaches). He needs to hit the portal hard for some quality OL guys and receivers. Maybe replace his punter too. It's too early to panic, but Kiffin needs to get ahead of the situation and be proactive rather than reactive.

B
Mainly because Leavitt so far has been a bust and some of the offensive playcalling has been suspect with the drive killing runs or trick plays that seemed forced and unneeded.

C+ to B- I’m honestly not to terribly concerned. This was always going to take some time. I think you can attribute some of the bone head decisions by the coaching staff on the lack of faith in the roster. Year 3 we look like this, yea let’s talk.

D maybe a C- if your a soft graded. If you’re a realist, he chokes/overthinks vs prior teams he coached or worked for. Tenn will look to beat them into submission.

Game Coaching and Strategies = C- due to not going for it on fourth down at Kentucky and Horrible Special Teams Coaching / Play.
Team and Roster Management [including strength training] = D due to the injuries of key players and so many Portal Aquisitions that haven't been practicing at a lwvel where they would get some playing time despite multiple seasons being starters at their former schools.
Winning Big against average competition that were "One Hit Wonders" for one single game. = B+ comparing outcomes thus far to Brian Kelley [who regularly showed us what it is like to play down to the level of your competition}.

C, we are on track to be nearly the same as last years disaster season.
So, if he can win these last few games, that grade can go up, but if he loses the next two decent teams we play it goes down.
He was not hired and given a blank check for anything and everything to have the same record as Kelly.

C-, at best. Never thought we would see the same struggles we had under BK in the red zone with Kiffin.

C+. It’s a better team but execution is lacking.

C- or D+
There’s too much money involved to be flirting with five losses.

All with a collection of doting mothers saying "it's not his fault. The math and science teachers are bad and the classes are really hard". I can't believe you expected him to make A's and B's in math and science. Don't you realize it is his first year at a new school!!!!!"
