D. I don’t think this is harsh at all. We should not be eliminated from playoff contention in the first week of November with a roster this expensive.

Agreed. It’s a D. He won 10 games just about every year at Ole Miss and was a thorn in our side and now we are (most likely) not even in fricking contention for the playoff with a month left in the season.

C+. He came close with 1 yard against UK.

But I see us losing to both Texas and Tenn due to the quality of their defenses. If LK hasn't figured out the red zone after 9 games then he isn't going to do it in the last three.

I think 4 losses will be a grade D. 5 losses will absolutely be an F with the money for players, facilities and highest paid coaching staff.

B so far.
Meeting realistic expectations as of now, outside of a play or two vs Kentucky.

C- lose to the good teams dominate that bad teams a mid level SEC team. The minus is for the price of the roster. I don’t think we’re really much better than last season.

C-. Very disappointing, but I don't think we are that far off. We need to learn how to expect to win. The key moments seem too big for us right now.

CLK said that this would be his worst roster and I was not concerned but I am concerned by the awful coach decisions that we all saw Saturday.
These decisions reach the point of not allowing our LSU players to get back into the game. One, two, three bad coaching games can not be forgiven easily. I feel like some coaching changes must be made.

C.

A ton of money was put into this team so you can’t really blame the “talent”. We’ve lost every game that has been close in the 4th quarter. That’s the opposite of what an elite coaching staff is supposed to do.

And no, this is not me saying that Lane should be fired or that the coaching staff should be blown up. It’s just disappointing.

r with a roster this expensive

Can we stop this talking point ? The roster had to be this expansive or we wouldn’t have been able to field much of a team. The roster may be expensive but it’s not elite yet

The donors didn't make the massive investment to turnover the program with the expectation that you are in roughly the same position you were in. Yet, that's where things are at the moment.

Last season LSU had two one score losses on the road to two good SEC teams (Ole Miss by 5 and Vandy by 7). You beat (actually a better Clemson team on the road) and a pair of bad SEC teams. Then you got blown out in the second half at home against a top 5 SEC team for your 3rd loss. That was it.

A year later you lost two SEC road games by one score and just got blown out at home in the second half by a top 5 team for your 3rd loss.

Obviously, things can get better. But if we are grading at the moment, C- is about the best because all Kiffin has done is maintain the status quo that wasn't good enough last year.
