I can’t believe that no one has mentioned the auburn/Jamie Howard interception game. To this day I still can’t believe lsu kept throwing the ball. That was one long drive back to Baton Rouge.

1997 LSU UF...was a better feeling that night than when we won the NCs.

how GOOD this team was capable of being

This. "Was capable of being" is the defining phrase. They had so much talent but lacked discipline. I remember this team beating LMU, and UNLV, but losing to second division SEC teams who would slow down the tempo. And the Tigers' free throw shooting was wanting that year.

Biggest disappointment ever IMHO was that Shaq was there 3 years and never got past the second round of the NCAA tournament. There's something wrong with that picture.

008 App St. 10 am start and hot as balls. Hurricane Gustav is bearing down on LA and contra flow is about to take effect. Tigers win handily and after the game everyone’s watching Gustav updates on the student union tv’s. Just a weird game day.

I remember walking to Pluckers after the game and drinking a pitcher of beer like it was water. It was miserably hot.
2005 Tennessee - People were leaving the stadium at halftime because they thought it was going to be a blowout.
2001 Florida - White out game in the pouring rain. It was like one big wet t shirt contest.

1982 Florida State. The fog rolling in (could barely see the scoreboards) and oranges flying everywhere. Dalton Hilliard went off and we rolled.

Never seen anything else like it.

the A&M game a few weeks ago - i got back to Austin at 3 30am. All of the Aggies i know left the game near the end of regulation thinking LSU had won and the SEC has a rule that does not allow reentry into a stadium

LSU vs Miami 1988...Canes rip the Tigers 44-3 in Tiger Stadium behind all-world play of Steve Walsh in the single worst torrential rainstorm/quasi tornado I have ever been exposed to. For the life of me I dont know how ANY player could see, much less catch, any football at all. Yet Walsh and crew made it look so easy. Miserable game experience all around.

I was at that game soaking damn wet.
