We all know this team has limits. What is your realistic best case for Hoover?

If we can show some signs of life and a fight - enough to attract some pitchers in the off season, I'd be happy.

If by limits you mean zero chance then yes.

I think a lot of pitchers are going to be attracted to transfer to LSU. I’m sure Jay is telling every pitcher that remains on staff and potential transfers that they’re not guaranteed a rotation spot and will bring in a lot of guys. I expect him to flip the pitching staff more than he does the lineup. He has a good core of young guys to work around in the lineup with some hopeful Hs kids who make it through the draft

This team has enough talents and enough bats to beat anyone….

That said, they are way too inconsistent, and way too short on pitching to string together 4 or 5 wins in a row.

Realistically they could luck their way through 2 games.
They could also easily get run ruled in game 1.

Best case 1 W and 2 Ls.

Team has bean inconsistent all season and in almost every game, it’s been the same.
South Carolina was not a benchmark to go off of.

Unless we signed a couple new pitchers I hadn’t heard about we won’t last long.

That depends on how many disinterested teams we face along the way though. Problem is I think we have to win the first one to even start facing the disinterested ones.

Well it’s single elimination now so. 1 loss and it would be over

If Schmidt/Evans/Paz/Cowan/Sheerin pitch as well as they possibly can, this team can reach the SECT championship.

They likely won't, but the ceiling is super high.

As a general prediction? I think we'll go 2-1.

I don't think those guys will be paying close attention to the 11/14 opening round game that will probably start at 9:30 at night.

I expect Jay to hire Paul Manieri as a special assistant to get the secret SEC tourney sauce and win the SEC tourney. Then, be a 3/4 seed somewhere and win the regional and super regional as we get hot at the right time, which is one of the most important things in baseball.

At the CWS, we lose the first one but our pitching staff transforms into pitchers we haven't seen this year and completely dominates the CWS while our offense still consistently scores 8 runs a game on the way to winning number 9.

Anything less just proves Jay Johnson is one of the worst coaches in the SEC and possibly the country.

We don’t get 10 run ruled would be great

It’s single elimination so 1 L and you’re out.
I’d say realistically they could get 2, and extremely lucky if all the chips line up get 3.

0-15 against winning teams. If not for South Carolina and a Mizzou squad who doesn’t care about the sport we’re far and away the worst team in the SEC.

I’m not expecting much of a fight this tournament.
