I admire Green’s toughness, but man sometimes you have to protect those knees.

There’s a reason you don’t see too many 6’7 football players, and unfortunately you saw that reason last night.

Those weren't emotions from someone simply in pain. Every trainer on the field next to him were patting his chest and helmet in a very comforting manner, not a 'you'll be alright' way.

Unless it’s a dislocated patellla which a knee pad absolutely could have protected against.

A thin piece of foam will prevent a dislocated patellar?

Wrap me in foam then

I took a fastball to the tip of my elbow one time that made my arm basically lock up in pain. As bad as it hurt, x-ray showed no fracture. I couldn't pick up my mitt, so I couldn't imagine walking on a deep bone contusion, which is what I had. Basically, a bone bruise.

We should pray he’ll be back because from what I saw last night we don’t have any other receive capable of catching a ball nor a QB capable of delivering to their hands less and except Green.
Very disappointing that Green got hurt. Prayers for him and his future I hate to see folks get hurt like that.

It was a dirty hit by the ole Miss player, plain and simple. Lowered his helmet and used the crown intentionally to hit him.

Kid should have been penalized and potentially suspended. Until you cut that bullshite out of college football and football overall, this type of shite will happen.

Dude he put his head and shoulder down to try and stop a 260 pound barreling freight train

It wasn’t a dirty hit per se. But the reason they won the game is because they took out our best player at the knees

We teach young kids to never lead with the helmet like that. Ole miss player is lucky he wasn’t severely injured, because that is exactly how it happens. Dirty hit.

Show me the technique you teach to go low in the open field on someone that size where you somehow don’t lead with the helmet

He would have hit any other player on the team in the hips

Maybe it will turn out to be a bad bruise, but they were 100% testing him for a ligament injury on the field.

They won the game because the o-line couldn’t block, the qb misses open receivers, and Chambliss made the defense look silly.

I mean we win the game if they don’t tear Green’s ACL with a direct helmet tackle to the knee.

They couldn’t stop Green in the second half and then he gets hurt and we get down to the red zone twice and can’t punch it in without him.

You never lead with the crown of the helmet on any tackle. If you do that, then your eyes are looking at the ground. You lower your whole body and look forward, driving your face mask into the ball carrier ! Never lead with crown of helmet !
