Anybody know why a Bossier City guy de-committed from us to go to Kentucky ?? I guess he was promised more playing time ? Freshman is tearing it up.

Nothing will improve quarterback play until we get consistent OL play. OM defensive line was in our backfield all night.

Not that it really matters now, but it was a nasty hit. TDG was hit by 2 Ole Miss players . One went high, the other low, from different directions. The guy that hit him low "speared " TDG's knees with the crown of the helmet. ( I guess there are no targeting calls below the waist ). It was a border line dirty play. So you can "chip tackle" with the crown of helmet, but you can't chip block a defensive lineman or an offensive lineman that is barreling towards you to block you. Yes, they called a chip block penalty by a defensive player on an offensive lineman that was about to run him over in the La Tech game. TDG's long legs were a big target for that guy that speared him. I know that this is hard nosed football and there can be shoe string, low tackles, but leading with the crown of the helmet into the opponent's knees is pretty bad. I hope TDG's injury is not as bad as it looks.

Defense wins championships and big, emotional rivalry games.
A dominating defense does this:
Limits amt of points of opponent.
Limits time of possession of opponent.
Provides our offense with turnovers and good field positions to score.
What really makes a difference in an away game, a dominating defense takes the crowd out of the game ! Geaux Tigers !!

There is no better offer in college football than Head Coach at LSU. He has said this and I believe him. Lane's irreverent personality is a perfect match for us. He gets it, with his quote about " an LSU win has everybody in the state waking up in a good mood on Sunday morning." CLK has gotten a sniff of the Pro game, and he very obviously has embraced this new NIL college game. He has seen Saban's regret of jumping to the NFL, and that is very much burned into his brain.
He won't leave unless he does something stupid; immoral or illegal.

And that big tackle was not wearing any knee braces !! I thought all interior lineman wore knee braces these days.

I guess so, but never been a fan of it. Waiting for someone to sprain their ankle, wrist or injure their fingers doing stupid stuff like this. Am also not a fan of the big gold chains they put around their necks. Keep it a team sport. I guess I’m old school. Just get a good “at a boy” and slap on the butt. There, I said it.

We all know that Tiger stadium is an incredible home field advantage, especially when the game is at night. No other place can match the atmosphere when Tiger stadium is rocking at night. I’ve been to too many games where you could just see the opponents melting, with the noise and intimidation that the crowd can bring. I am hoping that Clemson will be feeling that nastiness, but also will be very interested to see how our players that have never played a game as a Tigah in Tiger Stadium will react. They are gonna have to manage some serious game time jitters : New coach, new offense, new starters, many of whom have never experienced the absolute deafening, Sensa-round experience. All I can say is pop some popcorn and Laissez les bons temps rouler , cher. !!!

What a great press conference yesterday !! A stark contrast to the pressers held by CBK. Lane was articulate and tried to give a good answer to each question that was asked. He really is happy to be in BR , LSU, and Louisiana !! I think he is a great fit for Louisiana and LSU. We couldn’t have had a better reset to the program. Let’s geauxxx !!
