He took a helmet shot at full speed to the knee…

The play is on the Home page for anyone to review. I just watched it and I dont see any hit to the knee as I thought I did in real time. He got hit in the thigh with full shoulder/helmet. However if his cleat stuck in the ground his knee was still the fulcum.

I am not optimistic until we hear otherwise but I did not see any dramatic hyper extension in the wrong direction of his knee. Just keeping fingers crossed right now.

Should pad hit the knee area on right leg and you can see his knee get bent inward.

Definite MCL probably ACL as well

I’m more concerned about spears. We need him badly.

Opt out for the rest of the season. Better analogy would be Stingley.

It looked to me like he got hit above the knee because you can see his kneecap at the moment of impact. Nonetheless the knee seems to have taken the brunt of it.

Horrible seeing that big man crying coming off the field

It pissed me off. Did they not have a stretcher anywhere in Oxfart? Good Lord he was struggling mightily to limp off the field. He should have been carted off.

Its NOT a simple bruise, or whatever. No weight bearing coming off, and carted to locker room. Make you own assumptions, but it seems structural damage almost a certainty

I think it’s more likely fracture vs ligament based on how he was moving/painful/not putting weight.

I think you kneed to focus on the inward collapse of knee at impact during his fall

Can't see him sitting out because NFL scouts want to see if there is a lingering issue

Easier said than done at that size and when youre often catching passes in traffic/middle of the field.

The guy was on the very far side of the field and had to walk like 80 yards to get to the sideline.

I'm thinking ... no cart.

Not really sure where you’re supposed to hit a guy these days.

Heard he tore all his ligaments and will need a full knee rebuild. Will be out for a year
