Great news, now he can take his time with his next decision and not rush things. LSU making him comfortable and keeping him away from another college job is exactly what they needed to do.

Kudos to Woodward.

No way LSU initiates inserting that flexibility clause in the contract. That has to be his agent's doing. Just my opinion, but I can see him needing to prove that he's not just a product of Joe Burrow's skills.By making the next QB in line just as successful.

All of this. Win the game Monday and do whatever you want. Except go to another school

Lol @ Panthers fans thinking he leaving to be their OC

He could still leave. The tweet specifies that. Nothing is final just yet.

He can’t go to any colleges as an assistant, and we can keep up with what NFL teams are paying assistants. Great deal for both sides!

He's going to make a lot more than $1M a year in the NFL next year if he wants to go. I think he's told LSU he's going to the NFL and this "deal" is all for show to avoid any potential distraction before Monday

The NFL part is the big part here, I wouldn't celebrate too much. He deserves to go to the NFL if that is what he wants, I doubt any LSU fan would be upset

I’m sure you’re right, they were pretty cool about it when Saban left for the league

You'd be surprised what the NFL pays for coordinators. We can and will match NFL teams if we want to.

Aranda is the highest paid DC at any level.

Yeah, tbh I think LSU should have paid him more. Definitely worth the investment

I’m basically the same age as Joe and I can’t imagine signing that kind of contract

Dude has it made.

I think including that language Is a great recruiting tool for potential coaches. Shows confidence and the willingness to let them grow and pursue dreams if they want.

Go look up what NFL coordinators make. It’s not as much as you’re thinking...

Nothing weird about it. From the details in his original tweet, it's clear that all this does is keep him from another college job. He has all the freedom in the world to jump to the NFL is that's what he wants.

I dont think the money is going to be an issue.
