I take Brady returning as an endorsement of Myles Brennan’s potential/ability.

This means jack shite. It’s a sell to the players before the game that he’s committed but we all know it’s soft as frick. Brady gets an NFL offer and he’s gone.

He came from a top NFL staff so reasonable to expect him to eventually go back. The contract is good news to me to know he will not be leaving soon for a college OC spot. This was the more immediate threat. He is eventually going back to the NFL but I hope we keep him for 2 or 3 more years. If we are pretty good on offense next year then we may lose him sooner than later.

Yea he will go back to the NFL just strikes me as that type. I think he stays another year or 2 as well to show we can sustain the offense. (I'm not talking about duplicating this exact year I'm not stupid but still producing at a high level.)

Dude, if he was content to stay at LSU, he would not want flexibility to jump to NFL. Do you remember saban or are you truly as stupid as the board thinks you are? Brady leaving is not an if, it is a when.

Of course he’s going to leave

There’s no contract that is going to keep him here.

Dave Aranda has the same stipulation in his contract

This is what happens when LSU has no leverage.

It’s a good thing to have these kind of coaches come thru the program.

I can see someone wanting to pay as much as they need, but again he hasn't been an actual coordinator, handled a team of assistants, anything. Someone has to be desperate to pay more than $1 million.

Are you forgetting than an NFL team hired Kliff fricking Kingsbury to be their HC after he was fired from his job?

There's always at least one desperate NFL team.

Brady has 100% of the leverage here. It's about if he finds an NFL offer to his liking at this point.

Well, that was the "reported" number a while back.

I'd kind to think the MOA gives them the option to counter any offers.

Kingsbury had actual HC experience.

It was very mediocre experience, certainly not deserving of an NFL job.

He never won more than 8 games in a season, only had two winning seasons total, and was 1-2 in bowl games.

Deal has been signed for 2 months now that’s why Delly followed up with that tweet

It’s just now getting reported so technically he could still leave

Worthless. I worked for a non profit where we signed a MOA with a fellow who promised to give us 5 million.

Needless to say, we never got a red cent out of him.

Hopefully it shows him that LSU is serious about keeping him but a MOA shows that he’s leaving his options open.

But he can run a staff. And he was hired mainly because teams were trying to fund the next McVey who was coming off a Super Bowl appearance.

Not saying some team won't go at him, but I read an article the other day on how there are certain organizational and managerial aspects that he's unproven on and those are definitely risk factors.

Looks like there’s been some type of a handshake

Joe Brady will be at LSU next season. Beyond that is anyone's guess.
