LSU-A&M does numbers every year especially lately since it’s moved away from the last game of the season l.
It’s a big game for the networks and the conference. That’s why they forced it as a protected series on us. OU Georgia is an interesting game but it was never going to beat LSU-A&M for viewers priority.

I understand the spirit of what you are getting at, but in true data it is never 95 degrees and 99%. That is a near physical impossibility.

Correct.
We began playing at night in TS in 1931. It's a cherished LSU tradition. OTOH, UGA did play some night games in the 1940s but removed their lights in 1964 to allow for stadium expansion and did not add lights back until the '82 season.
Their preference for night games is a more recent development.
FTR, I have no axe to grind with UGA. We don't play them a lot and the series has been pretty even across history.

UGA has ruined their bulldogs with inbreeding. The first UGA to now is crazy to look at.
It’s also not LSUs problem they removed lights from their stadium and took forever to put them back, while LSU has played night games for 95 years.

I'm pissed because we didn't play ALL of them at night. Why should he be wanting night games for Georgia anyway? Those figs have hedges around their stadium that they can hide behind to do whatever it is they do, whether day or night.

If the rest of the conference has to suffer to Maintain the UGA vs Auburn game and the 3rd Saturday in October traditions then as much as possible our Night Game tradition should be respected.
I bet they don’t know that our traditional kickoff was at 8pm so plant workers and farmers would be able to listen on the radio.

LSU's tradition and preference is to play home games at night. Even if that means not being on a preferred TV network. For instance, LSU would rather play a night game on ESPN2 than an 11:00 home game on ABC. Of course, the TV network ultimately decides (for the most part). And all THEY care about are ratings. Which means ABC/ESPN clearly felt the A&M @ LSU game was the better draw for that time slot than any other potential matchup. The TV network is not going to pass on bigger ratings just to placate LSU fans

Whats funny is I lived in Georgia for 8 years and they loved day games. Several of their fans loved it. All the ones I worked with loved it. Then all of sudden in '22 after coming off the National Title they wanted night games and kept asking me why LSU was always night and I kept telling them it was a tradition and also because its too friggin humid in hot in Southern Louisiana. September has a law now that the games have to be Night games. And they're still pissy about it. They're hilarious

It’s because it’s too fricking hot to play during the day. Until TV changed it, LSU never played a home game during the day. Poor UCLA fans were dropping like flies when they came to Baton Rouge.
