UGA twitter is melting down over our night games

Here’s an example. They’re all melting down

I’ve seen the raw number discrepancies between noon and night games for LSU, but it took diving a little deeper for it to actually jar me.
In the CFP era they’ve played a total of 80 home games (A&M on the 26th will be #81). 65 (66) of those have been night games. 4 out of every 5 games they’ve played over the last 12 plus seasons have started under the lights
.
In the SEC on ABC era they’ve played 14 of 16 at night, one at 3:30, and one at noon. They played six 3:30 SEC on CBS games through the last decade of the deal while other teams passed that in two seasons.
All but one buy game since 2014 has been a night game (Utah State in 2019 after they’d already played Georgia Southern and Northwestern State).
20 of 25 games since 2014 against Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Florida have been night kickoffs. The A&M game is their 4th scheduled night game through the first 5 weeks. Mississippi State is slated for a noon kickoff, but with Alabama and Texas on the schedule for November, there’s a very good chance they play 6+ home night games for the 8th time in the last 13 seasons.
It’s outrageous that they get these protections and privileges that no one else in the country, let alone the conference gets.

What protections is he talking about?

They think their game against Oklahoma (currently ranked #24) deserved the primetime ABC slot over LSU-Aggy

All of a sudden everyone cares about everything we do. That’s how you know they know we’re really fricking good.

They should be mad at Oklahoma for losing to Michigan lol

A little taste of success with Fat Kirby, and the Dawg fanbase has morphed into hybrid Ole Miss/Bama style bitches.

Didn't the stats legislature pass a law recently that makes it illegal to play any day home games before October 1st because of that UCLA disaster
Also, LSU pulls ratings and primetime ratings matter the most. That's why

LSU night games were a tradition long before TV. The other 15 can suck it

GA football games at night cannot be compared to LSU’s night atmosphere. The ratings are not the same and it is about money that drives the games. It is not a secret in the NCAA - the toughest place to play a night game in college football.

They just had two good seasons in 21, 22. We’ve had ranked seasons since 2003. We get tv ratings. They don’t and didn’t. This is the way.

Yes, we feel so privileged these days. Did this guy miss the whole expulsion silliness?

First no one wants in the conference, now we get special treatment
they need to pick a narrative and stick with it

UGA chooses to play during the day. Don’t let any of the noise deflect that true statement.

That's a pretty dishonest way of framing it lol. Georgia has been really good for a while now.

This is the answer. Be mad at the Charmin Soft California fans.

Georgia chose to play day games at 1p in the 80s, 90s before the conference TV contracts in the 90s. Nowhere to stay overnight in Athens (shite hole). Fans needed to get home in the evening and not midnight or later. Recap...Georgia...they dont care about tailgating...their tradition isn't LSU.
