This.
Did I see the stat correctly that this is first game LSU won when trailing the entire game?

1959 Ole Miss
1970 Ole Miss
1971 Notre Dame
1972 Ole Miss
1979 USC

The “best” games are all “you had to be there” experiences. This game was important but no more so than every other game. The stats were nit that good.
This was one of the greats in my 42 yr fandom tenure because of the game flow, the crowd (electric and loud), and the result. Throw in some rivalry issues and there you have it.
Oh, and the most important thing… I was there! No way TV imparted the stadium experience in any magnitude. I am sure seismographs went off when Nuss hit Lacy FTW…

We stormed the field after we beat Bama in the early 2000s. Might have been 2000
I remember it was the first time we beat Bama in Tiger stadium since the 50’s
I wasn’t even trying to go in the field but had no choice. The crowd in the student section wasn’t stopping. It was like riding a wave onto the field.

I fricking loathe ole miss more than any other school...so while not the best game I've ever seen I'm TS I'd put in my top 3 moments I've attended.
1. Florida 2007
2. Ole miss last night
3. Bama 22
The way Nuss played most of the game I didn't see us winning...much less converting 2 4th downs and then hitting Lacy to end it in OT

No way. That game was not top 50. The last play was epic; the game was rancid dog shite.

Yeah similar to 'Game of the Century' getting tagged by default to the 2011 Bama game.
Nobody talks about that game. NOBODY. It was AWFUL.

It is embarrassing, but it is what it is. There was a long lull there where no storming the field, and fans acted like we had been there before. Students today just do it to do it, so it is here to stay.....doesn't really bother me, just would rather not do it against a team that hasn't even won a conference championship in over 60 years, and already had a loss to an unranked team.

Top 5 is probably aggressive but it was definitely one of the better ones in recent memory.

That’s b/c we were a bunch of elitist who don’t know how to have fun.

Recency bias for anyone saying it is, but it was loud and the crowd came early and "mostly" stayed the whole game...which is an outlier in this day and age.
