Basically a list of how coaches did last year.
This.

You’re right. He’s definitely wrong. Bill is a below average coach without Brady as his starting QB.

Who gives a flip? Not me. Even if they had listed BK as #1,…….meaningless. Completely.
These self aggrandizing, supposedly insightful sports news platforms aren’t worth the time that it takes to read anything posted.

Based on what he’s accomplished I don’t see how you could put much higher.

Nah. Would he be the best ever? Probably not, but Brady and Belichick are alot like Payton and Brees, they owe their success to each other as much as themselves. Without brain numbing decisions by Loomis and Payton and the NFL really fricking them every chance they got, the Saints probably cost the Patriots 1 or 2 Super Bowl rings, and without Covid, and the NFL rigging it, the Bucs don't win the SB with Brady. Then neither of them would be considered the GOAT. That's not whar happened though.
I probably just rambled on, I got stopped mid-comment and had to retrace where I was at.

I mean 83-104 without Tom. That’s kind of the definition of below average
But I get what you’re saying

It’s always subjective, but there is some questionable choices.
Deion sanders is a bit of a stretch at 7, as well as Kyle whittingham at 8. Mario Cristobal feels a little bit overvalued along with Leipold. I would say Kelly is a little undervalued. How is Sherrone more even on this list? It’s also questionable to have leipold and not have guys like PJ Fleck, Dan Mullen, or Chris Kleiman. Also, belichick is a complete wildcard.

If you think Cristobal and Sanders are elite football coaches, then you’re too stupid to even talk to.

But then again, what has Kelly done so far...
Way more than 90% of that list.
Ok, I'll bite here and play along.
Has Kelly done more than Lanning, Sark and Freeman? Lanning won a P4 conference and beat the national champion in that same season. Sark won a conference and has been in the playoff the last 2 seasons and won 2 playoff games this year, and Freeman just won 3 playoff games and went 14-2, more wins than Kelly has ever had
So way more than 90%? Maybe way more than 50% which is why he's around the 50% mark
You would take the top 6 on that list for sure over Kelly if offered them today

Without Tom Brady Belichick is an average coach.

The 6 Superbowl rings Belichick earned while head coach were all with Tom Brady as QB.
After Tom Brady left the Patriots he went on to win another ring with the Bucs.
At the same time Belichick's record with the Patriots was average at best:
2020: 7-9 missed the playoffs.
2021: 10-7 lost in wildcard game.
2022: 8-9 missed the playoffs.
2023: 4-13 missed the playoffs.
2024: 4-13 missed the playoffs.
Without Brady Belichick was 33-51 or 0.393
Tom started with the Patriots in 2001 and accumulated a record of 219 wins and 66 losses for a winning percentage of 0.768.
For the NFL do you realize how good that is?
Then Tom moves on to the Bucs and gets his last Superbowl.
There is a common denominator here and it starts with a T.
I'm not even a TB fan. I just respect what he has accomplished.

wtf is this list? How is Marcus Freeman immediately in top 25 when he hasn’t done shite? Bret Bielema? Give me a break.
Posted on 2/4/25 at 5:13 pm to Voldemortnose
He’s got to earn respect.
Posted on 2/4/25 at 6:17 pm to Voldemortnose
Having Sanders on there at all invalidates the entire list. He is barely over .500 with a Heisman winner and a first round QB.

How can this fanbase simultaneously crap on Freeman and ND for always having an easy schedule and a virtual lock every year to the playoffs, yet boast about Kelly's record and Championship appearance when he was at ND?

IMHO, the Yankee carpetbagger is ranked to high!

On3 judged Butter Kreme in Year 3 to be #16. (He's still got the OL Coach that can't teach run blocking employed)
