This times infinity. Tony is playing chess against the SEC. This all will benefit LSU in the long run.

Can you please look at the bigger picture and what's actually going on.

There is no law to force a coach to play a player.
He could be rostered but can’t force playing time. Period.

Exactly. Wade might actually be in on it.

Wade is not going to roster Luis without some sort of settlement with the SEC. The powers that be already backed down with football, which is way more important, we aren’t going to risk expulsion or huge penalties or whatever with basketball.

This is most likely a play by Luis’ lawyer to better position Luis to sue for damages from the SEC and/or increase leverage to get the SEC to agree to let Luis play. But again we aren’t going to actually play him unless we have 100% cover that there wont be significant blowback

Yeah, I used to have cases against Clayton in the 18th JDC.

My life is much happier now.

Wades probably in on this! Gives Wade an out to play the kid because if he does no it equal JAIL TIME. Lets hope this time though Wade used forms of communication that cant be traced.

It is beyond stupid to think that a judge can force LSU to roster a player. What kind of clown world are we living in. It’s up to Wade and LSU if they choose to add a player.

He's the prototypical scumbag southern lawyer that you see in movies.

In most instances, I dismiss 4D chess claims as it’s normally tinfoil hat coping or wishcasting... But in lawfare, 4D chess really is just 4D chess.

Think of this from Clayton’s perspective.

Whether he goes after the SEC, LSU, or both — it’s all in service of his client.

But by publicly threatening LSU, he also shines light on the fact that LSU was in fact enjoined in the injunction & has been strong armed by the SEC into not rostering any of these players.

That’s a big win for LSU regarding the SEC’s federal case & the question of whether or not the SEC is in contempt / trying to coerce LSU (they are).

It’ll all get sorted. Not sure if Luis will play, but LSU is safe.

Its been obvious from day 1 that Wade would be a low character POS that will bring LSU into trouble. Hes a f'ing nightmare.
Is this set up? Maybe. But that makes it even worse than the other alternative.

BTW, whos paying Luis' lawyer?

Exactly, it in theory enables WW to roster the guy without the hypocritical Hyenas coming for blood at him. "I had no choice - the courts ordered me to".
