He wasn't an X's and O's coach, so that was the default explanation, right?

Was it ever determined who was the board of supervisor that Orgeron hit on his wife at a gas station?

He got in there at the right time. Rallied the troops and took a chance on Burrow. I know the years after 19 aren’t what we want as fans, but I will always have great memories with family and friends associated with that season. It was 100% time to move on.

His divorce was the man reason for his undoing. She completely control the moron in him. Once he was let loose, that was the end! Thank God it ended!

You mean Bill Busch.

I don't need to prove my anti-O bonafides, but I will say his best decision of his entire tenure at LSU was trusting Steve Ensminger. By entrusting the offense to E, we got Burrow starting at QB and we got Brady to come in and revamp the playcalls to meld everything together. So essentially keeping his nose out of the offense and letting E run it.

Honestly though, I don't believe he ever had any ability to effectively manage people. The whole "CEO" was stupid from the beginning . . . made up by people who don't understand what a CEO does
correct. 2019 didn't prove O knew what he was doing - it was an outlier.

I said from the very beginning that this new "CEO model" was utter nonsense. If it was legit, then every other school (and organization) in the nation would've done it, and saved millions of dollars on the head coach's lower salary.

It was a farce from the beginning. And besides, Woodward blew up the model when he gave O a massive raise and extension, putting him on par with the highest paid coaches in the country.

Again, it was all a joke.

O was dumb enough

Coach O in 2015 was a outta work DL coach who for a decade hadn’t been trusted by anyone enough to run any college program after his disastrous stay at Ole Miss. within around five years LSU has paid the man like $20 million.

Dumb certainly applies to some people at LSU but I don’t think Coach O is one of them.

I will respond, but I don't want to get in any debate on it. 1) He had one of the greatest seasons in the history of the game in 2019. 2) 2020 was going to be a disaster no matter what, with losing Aranda and staff, a ton of starters, and no offseason. However finishing 5-5 in an all SEC schedule was a very good result to the season given all that. 3) 2021 was rough, but once again the team was rebuilding and lost the QB before the season started. Really his first bad season since 2019, and he got fired half way through it. The DC and defense was coming on strong and I think we would have had an excellent run in 2022 with a stronger class if Woodward simply got behind Orgeron publicly instead of hanging him out to dry.
. When all of the off the field stuff started leaking out you had to let him go. Especially after the display in the locker room post UCLA right within ear shot of Woody and a few board members. That was the day he was basically dead man walking. The correct move was cemented when O in the firing press conference kept going on about getting his money. Dude looked like a stupid uneducated fool doing that shite.

I can’t believe we made it this far without anyone mentioning his two signature idiot movements.

In all fairness to Orgeron, it wasn't his fault this left the locker room.

Perhaps not, but it was an early read on respect or lack thereof the offending player had for O.

Ah the old "Not the HEAD Coach's fault" defense. Glad the CEO of a vaunted football program isn't responsible for said program.
