I kinda understand what you mean. But at the same time the only way to escape toxic fans is to go somewhere where there are no fans. All I can say is if some forum on the internet bugs recruits, all the major fanbases have them so might I recommend juco. And god forbid you have pro aspirations and mess up on a play, I hope you don't have social media

Aren't you the same poster who lied and said Jay promised Priester the Catcher position and 3-4 hole spot when he wasn't catching? Yeah, that DID not happen. And don't pay attention to the minority on this board. Its a fan forum get over it. Most don't actually shite on players, they get frustrated with the results not the player. Now there are some and again the loud minority who shite on players but those should be ignored, not used as an example to not be at the program lmfao.

While I agree that this place can go overboard at times, arguing with anonymous fans on a forum is probably not the example you should be setting for your kid.

Your son showed come grit, came back to LSU. It sucks that he feels the need to leave again. I, personally, hope he finds his place and has a great season next year!!

You’ll find the same kind of negativity on any college sports message board.
The only difference here is that LSU fans care about baseball A LOT more than any other school.

Not to be a dick but I am an LSU baseball fan and I don’t think we’d be playing still if your son was hitting third or fourth all year. Sorry you were misled, but this is a team sport where individual performance factors heavily into those decisions. Kudos to Jay for not sacrificing the season in order to keep a promise he made to ensure he had enough capable bodies behind the plate.
