I haven’t seen anyone point out that if he’s leaving ole miss it’s to go coach in the nfl and he there’s an unreal opportunity for an offensive minded coach in New York City, specifically Lane because the dart franchise qb connection
That $21m is from rev sharing I believe idk I questioned it
He has said the money doesn’t matter. Honestly I think all of LSU/OM/UF are close enough there ~$13.5m whatever. He wants NIL $ guaranteed annually in a dollar figure in excess, maybe over twice as much, his base pay.. not sure if that includes rev share but assume it does (~$21m?)

He knows that’s the key to success in CFB now but he’s always known that to be brand/fanbase/venue/footprint from living it. I guess how far gone is college football now that it’s glorified semi pro ball, does the hundred thousand plus passionate fans packed in a historic venue matter like it once did.

I assumed he was going to Florida before we fired Kelly. I think he’s always wanted to be at LSU. But I don’t think he’d leave OM now, knowing similar decisions and backlashes he’s faced in life, to come to LSU this cycle.

I heard today something to the tune of 5 yr at $15m per with incentives up to $30m as the coach of a Super Bowl winning New York giants. They have a franchise qb, skattebaw in backfield and star WR all on rookie deals. If that QB wants him and he wants a change, he’s goin to the NFL. Otherwise I think he’s staying in Oxford making $13m/yr and with a $30m nil war chest.
It should already exist for Jujuan and I half expect to see it this weekend

Which of these three are getting to campus and will they be changing their name to have DC as their initials?

This was probably the first and definitely the last time I’ve rooted for Clemson
I always love following this thread every year. Thanks to all who provide the info and geaux tigers, onward to #9!
Yamin and Serna will get a crack. Hopefully one separates but I expect all to compete and the best defender to start opening day.

I want Arrambide and Yamin to both succeed, and Serna too for that matter, but those two specifically after witnessing their dugout energy during the postseason run
Shelton Sampson Jr all over again

I hope he sticks with the stros and gets to the show. Thats an organization that really knows the value of LSU brand first hand from many years of Bregman… bring back the bayou bash promotion and the crawfish+purple and gold Astros jerseys early season every year!
Good - basketball and baseball, SEC foothold in Carolina’s, furthers SEC favorable comparison to other potential ‘super conferences’ who have been talking shite lately

Bad - the ACC and especially FSU/Miami, Clemson football, lifetime fans of traditional college athletics

LSU - frick em both, we ride, Geaux tigers

LT - Tyree Adams

This seems like the only thing set right now.

C - Braelin Moore

And this seems very likely.

Then the guards will end up being best 2 of probably Thompson/Chester/Mubenga/Curne/Thomas

I think Pickett will be hard to keep off the field but opening day not sure he starts at corner. Guillory likely on the field to start if he’s healthy. Perk at star and depending on offensive personnel it’s either Weeks/Keys out there at LB with him or fifth DB maybe woodland

burreauxxxx, if I recall

Can’t hardly wait til spring 2026 for a magician or burreauxxxx to tell everyone how bad our pitching and timely hitting is or how much CJJ sucks while we win 75% of the games
Anyone else notice that outfield by the way? Probably a pretty good thing to run back the three guys who just swept a CWS final their most recent time out, right? Now imagine they all get better this offseason

shite, we better be good at football this fall because Feb can’t come soon enough
Omaha reservations [ON] !!!

Seemingly a ton of good competition around the diamond. I predict best three hitters of the transfers, Pearson, Reaves will man first, second, third and DH. I think we eventually see two of Caraway/Simpson/Dardar unless Reaves hits too much to keep off the field. Yorke/Pearson platoon at 1B/DH but if Braun’s scouting report (hits every where he’s been) holds up, he’s a true 1B, and the big boys platoon based on matchup at DH.

And Serna will get a lot of opportunities to hit I imagine, we need righty hitters. Intrigued to see if Clauss or Ruckert can be our future SS (‘27 team). Excited to (hopefully) see a full season of locked in and healthy monster at the plate. Last fall he didn’t practice I think and it seemed to take him a while to get his mojo back at the plate this past year. His fielding is ++.

Out pitching depth is unreal..we have maybe seven or eight guys I’d like to see get a chance to start games, and that’s just off the list of righty’s
What’s their acceleration?

I downvoted because I’ve seen this in a new thread daily the past month… now tangent time

I tell people all the time that in mid July I expect LSU football to roll everyone and win a national championship the upcoming season.

I feel that way right now but realistically we’re going on the road against a likely top 10 team in the country. I don’t know exactly who, when or where they have scheduled outside of game 1 this year but can say fairly confidently that we’re by far the best team they’ll play this fall. It just so happens to be the first game of the year.

Experienced QBs on both sides but again, first game, so like so many games of football it will come down to winning in the trenches. Can our new OL hold up against the best dline the ACC has to offer ( it’s probably a top five d-line we’ll see this year…) Can our deep DL and highly regarded LBs stop their run game and wreck havoc in the backfield. If our backend woes on D are even remotely resolved and guys aren’t running free once a series then it will come down to the trenches.

The last time we won an opener we went on to win a national championship. The teams we’re 0-5 against in openers since are not any better than this Clemson team. I want to see to believe but we seemingly have the roster in place to win this game.

To sum it up simply, I don’t give a shite about Clemson’s top end draft eligible talent and no real LSU fan should. This is about playing LSU football and dominating a pretty good team from an inferior conference just like the last time we were on the same field as them.

Bot 8, no outs

If you were in attendance, you know, that batter Chase faced to start the bottom 8th, the kid could not catch up to FB and fouled a handful off down the first base side. EPIC catch by a kid in the club level on the first base side, he reached out and snagged it like OBJ, and the chuck went absolutely nuts. Then a few pitches later, fouled directly through a press box window diagonally above the kid, oooooh’s from the crowd followed by another eruption from when someone triumphantly held the ball out. Announcers didn’t mention this at all for some reason! He struck that guy out, then got another two K’s to end the eighth, and the single coastal fan around me knew it was over at that point
