I mean I sometimes listen to his radio show and he basically just let's people call in and talk he just sits back and doesn't make a comment unless somebody ask him a direct question

Of course he did that's why he picks the games usually Thursday or Friday after he spent all week seeing what everybody else says and then he just goes whatever the most popular pic is so he done piss off anyone

I really want to agree with this because of how important this Ole Miss come back is for for Lane but it's hard to think that the season's over if we lose Ole Miss because of what happens in November
In case you didn't know we get Alabama Texas Tennessee and Arkansas four straight weeks probably the most brutal part of our schedule thank God we play Alabama and Texas at home but the fact that we get those four games straight back to back to back to back makes November the most important month and probably the most important three four weeks of the season

I said this earlier in the season when the pro player situation started to go south on us but I really think that Lincoln was going to try and sign him and play him things started to go out of control he lost control of it and he decided to then use it to his advantage and give the media something to talk about to distract from the team so they could focus
And there's going to be people in here that are going to talk s*** right now but they don't understand that Bill Belichick was the master of doing this especially when it was Super Bowl media days.
And I truly believe that this Sam Levitt thing is exactly what link if I wanted to do because it's all the media's talking about everyone's doing interviews on it making their suggestions breaking it down criticizing laying they're not analyzing the team they're not talking about the team they're literally just talking about Lane Kiff and going back to Ole Miss the whole time

He is such a weasel that even when he says good things about LSU I don't believe him
It was Texas and Sarks jealously that created this. He was pissed and UT did what they used to do all the time in the Big 12 complain and get their way.
Yes we wanted to be Ole Miss cuz that would be a great storyline but I promise you it was Texas using their connections and pull to get sent you to do whatever they wanted throwing their money and power around until this got out of hand

I can’t get past how the players filed the lawsuit, not us. We just said we wanted to sign them legally. We didn’t until we won and we never did so we didn’t sign them.
That’s it.
Anything else is just us making comments and you can fine him for it.

Bumping this cause I really think he was going to sign them until the lawsuits came and then he lost control of it but allowed it to distract from the team so they could focus.

I’m seriously trying to understand…are they saying we can’t criticize the SEC?
How many times has any other coach done so? Should we start pulling receipts of times coaches commented about the SEC?

Commenting on the SEC, about something we didn’t do, makes no sense.
Like, don’t be shocked when a judge tosses this out if her courtroom and denies the TRO tomorrow. All this is over is the comments and nothing else given as we never signed or played any pro players…

At this point, the power the SEC has has given them a false sense of control and when they threaten removing LSU from the SEC, they didn’t realize how bad this will make them look or that LSU might even ignore them and make them vote on it Thursday.

Everything that happened last night started when Bryce Underwood switched to Michigan.
This entire timeline is possible because of him.
January 2024: Highly Recruited #1 QB Commits to LSU, Brian Kelly sees his future QB and star that will help him win 10 games again.
November 2024: Bryce flips to Michigan for a huge payday. It not only exposed the flaws of the NIL, it ruined the plans BK had made for his future here.
Instead of finding another good QB, we basically settled with Garrett. As long as he stays healthy, we would be fine. For one season. Then what?
Although Bryce wasn’t directly on BK, the response was and that was the reason everything fell apart and eventually exploded on him.
He gets fired, fans are not even upset, the world is looking at LSU now as one of the hottest jobs in sports.
A coordinator would not work. A rising star wouldn’t be good. We needed a guy who fit into the culture here while also knowing how to win.
LSU steals Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss, giving everyone a reason to hate us even more. Instead of fighting it, he embraces it
He uses that mentality to form a locker room of US vs Them. A “frick them” mentality that is just as much confident as it is cocky. But it also gave the team a chance to be a family and to have each others backs and fight to prove everyone wrong.
He went after guys with something to prove that are hungry and wanted to win
So at the time it sucked when he flipped but that created a timeline that lead us to last nights impressive showing against Clemson.

That's my point.
The team has not had to deal with the press finding anything else to talk about for weeks. This distraction has protected the team and let them focus on the game while the media ran around in circles losing their minds over it.
Everyone asks why is LSU being picked on while so many other teams went after the 320 others, but fail to realize it's because Lane Kiffin was asked and said directly he would play them if it made the team better.

Distraction.
Heading into this Nationally Televised game, with the most celebrities and media ever credentialed for, and also Easton Royal and probably more recruits, the only thing we are hearing about LSU is Lane Kiffin and these Pro Players.
The media loves to find stories to tell and analyze for these games because it is the main event of the weekend.
So instead of them distracting Sam Leavitt about his first time in Baton Rouge, coming off an injury, living up to the hype, facing a tough Clemson defense that has prepared for months for him, etc...
The media is talking about this.
Nick Saban was great at this. He was great at being the story the week of the biggest games so his team could focus and not spin their wheels dealing with the media.
If so, Lane Kiffin really is far ahead of them.

The players in question were not a part of our roster and we were voted #11 in the country.
We are willing to risk the negative impact and fight against the SEC about this by adding guys who did not get drafted into the NFL and weren’t even good enough to make a roster?
We have the best TE in the country.
