The Superdome (with the updated renovations over the years) has definitely stood the test of time. It is an iconic venue that continues to serve the state and the nation well. Louisiana should be proud.

The ONLY accurate thing you said was about the Pelicans. The Super Bowl WILL be back in New Orleans soon, and multiple times. What’s behind your hate of the city?

To the detractors, what is the Superdome missing that these fancy new stadiums have?

If you genuinely believe they would relocate it to the north shore I have some prime swamp land to sell you.

It is missing glass. Windows. More functional designed spaces inside to congregate. Could go on.

But the reactions from this thread only underscore why Nola has had the same arena since 1970’s (with renos) while other cities are rebuilding and improving. Not all change is bad, fellas.

Sad, but on brand.

I was impressed with the changes to concessions. Much quicker to get something and a really nice setup.

The Dome hasn’t been multi purpose for 10 years or more - the lower level Plaza was completely taken down and redone before this last round of renovations. I believe around when the SF/Bal Super Bowl was

The old gal at 50 years old, and after renovations, it puts some of these new multibillion stadiums to shame, in particular, the one in Vegas!

The dome is special

It's OK, but I wax nostalgic for the old Tulane Stadium. That place was sui generis and had character. More seating capacity than the Superdome. I always wished they could have put a dome on top of that stadium.

Left the SKC tonight on the plaza level connected with the dome. The lights were on inside and you could see the goalpost and the Allstate net hanging in one end zone. I gotta say the old girl still looks nice

I have not been in the Dome post renovations. But seeing photos of it, it looks incredible.

I recently saw a video by a Jets fan who visited for the Saints game and he raved about the stadium...it was one of his favorites. I think it's a lot better than some of the newer ones that have been built and people who knock it just because of its age are stupid.
