Looking back at history, the Saints have drafted west

It seems we always love drafting PAC 10/12 players in the first round. If not pac 10 players, BYU or Texas players in first round. Never seems to work out.

Not surprised by the pic… Just wondering if we could’ve traded down and still got him. But the fact that we waited all the way to the end of our time to draft him, maybe we were trying to field offers and they just weren’t there to trade down....

He didn’t pitch at all last year… He seems to have a quirky right handed arm delivery and throws in the low to mid 90s. He has a sub one ERA. But Jay continues to trout out left-handers with a five or six ERA. He almost did the same thing to Edwards last year it seemed until Edwards proved him wrong...
