Agreed. Humble and down to earth.

this guy ... where do these people come from?

How do they get out of bed with this fatalistic perspective.

Running up the score …

Or old fashion arse kicking…. Whatever your stance, it is time for LSU to start dominating opponents again.

Not yo run up the score to be a douche, but because your scheme and depth are so ridiculous, even your subs beat their 1st team.

We haven't had that attitude in years. I believe we have it back.
Master class in how to incentivize your key personnel. If LK is not happy, nobody will be. This extra $1M shows LSU's commitment to LK for the long term.

It will pay multiples in dividends.
LSU with LK is not like others.

Sark and TX. Ok, TX is a huge program, but Sark cannot match TX reputation.

Bama the same. Their coach does not match the Bama energy 1:1.

But LK at LSU? Their energy's match. This program is going to be dangerous and will be contesting for the SEC each year.

The only other school currently in the SEC where the coach matches the school's energy? UGA + Kirby.
Like the kind of character Bear had as a coach? He is the reason there is a cap on scholarships.

His “old school” approach was to give out hundred plus scholarships, lock up the kids, and never intended to play them. But kept them off the roster of the competition.

Melt

Every contract has a safety valve (here a buyout clause) that allows partys to terminate theor contract. For example, termination for a party’s convenience clause (i.e., can terminate for almost any reason, but you have to pay).

And LSU ran this proposal through several intermediaries and the media to signal their willingness to meet and pay. It would be hard to prove in court even wothout the saftey valve clauses noted above.

Finally, think of all the websites the promote job openings. Are they all running afoul of tortious interference? No. For the reasons above, AND your right to work has more layers of protection than a typical contract.

Time to finally install the Nick Saban statue.
Yep.

Changing the narrative to give him cover to leave. LK has learned a lot from his past departures.

Spurrier owned the SEC and nation when at FL. The guy was a riverboat gambler with a mind for offenses.

LK is the second coming of Spurrier.
Look what he did with Dart and Chamblis. Think of the blue chips knocking down the door to be in his wide open system.

Fuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkk

(Allowing myself to dream)
IF he goes to LSU it will be transformative. This is currently the best version of LK.

And when he starts winning, LSU needs to do what Bama did. Not just spend money on football facilities, but drop major coin on a revamp of the campus.
Saban hire was not a big deal at the time.

Just wasnt.
