He may end up being a PP7/Honey Badger mutant. He's got all the tools and that fire in his belly.

Even if it never touched the ground, it touched the wr while he was put of bounds. It was not an interception.

Yep basically shut a guy that will likely be a 1st round pick

Everyone knew Stingley was a stud. We wanted him bad!!!

Johnson has many talents, but he is ~ 4.7 40 guy. He won’t go 1st round because of measurable, and he’s going to draw the best CB every week.

He’s better so far into his true freshmen year and expect him to be better throughout.

The perfect pass that he broke up on the sideline was also a thing of beauty.

I think it is Darryl.

there is an absolute clear angle where it touched the ground.

I watched a replay of the game yesterday - and went back and forth on that play several times.

If there is a shot that shows the ball touching the ground it was not broadcast.

Not saying one doesn't exist - it just was not seen by the TV audience.

But maybe I missed it?? - looking forward to your evidence -

Please make a new thread if you post it - many people would like to see it.

Watch the film and you’ll see he clearly has the ball secured with his left hand as he rolls off the receiver at the end of the play. The left hand is not visible before that. It’s entirely possible he got that hand under the ball before it could get to the turf.

Just an awesome play.

Stingley is good, very good.

But don’t allow the recency bias to cause you to miss that Fulton is a spectacular corner and a first half of the first round talent.

The problem was the ruling on the field, if they rule it an interception on the field there would have been no view to overturn it, but it was called a reception on the field. When Stingley goes to the ground with the ball there was no view to decide either way.

What’s the story?

Eta: Oh wow, I just googled. I remember that story and had no idea that was his grandfather.

If he has to, yes. I don't see us needing him to win outside of Bama though. I feel pretty comfortable that we beat everyone else on our schedule by 10+.

Dude just doubles down on this idiocy. I'd love to know the body part he thinks is between the ball and the ground. This type of homerism is just embarrassing.

I agree DocBugbear. I thought for sure after calling it a catch, they were setting up to "let the call stand".
I don't see how they could have called that a catch for the WR in real time.

I think the ball hit the ground, but that was a heck of a play even after the WR pushed off. Stingley swatting the other ball away was amazing as well. Unreal skills.

I need to finish rewatching it, but it seemed that they stopped throwing to him completely and picked on Fulton. Fulton had a good game as well. They got the one long pass, but as many times as they went after Fulton, he held in there well. I'm excited about these guys. The DL just needs to step up and get some pressure on these QB's

I must need a better TV bc I still have never seen a pic showing the ball touching the ground. It looks very likely that the ball probably did touch.

For the guys saying it touched the ground...are you saying had it been ruled an int they would have reversed the call?
